And they can't sell American beef to China anymore because well - you know. Before I went to Sam's club in Shanghai it was mainly USDA beef. Now there is no American beef at all. Only Australian. Which I prefer anyway. It's much better quality and less chemicals inside.

BTW China last week rejected a shipment of Argentinan beef because of banned antibiotics so perhaps it will get rerouted to the US. Where the regime clearly does not care about food safety standards anymore.

China already had their own operating system OpenKylin but low adaptation yet. There is a directive that for all government offices and public institutions, all foreign software has to be removed and replaced by local open source. China government have been using their own local office suit WPS.

One of my favorite stories from last year was that during one of the biggest spats with the US, China banned the export of rare earth materials to the US. They released the document in WPS, which is completely incompatible with MS Word. It took the US state department days to work out how to open the document.

Unfortunately because of the wonderful policies by sequential US governments, US citizens will not be able to buy Chinese chips because obviously the chips will spy on you just like Chinese EV's, routers, phones, toasters, drones, etc. But all the good things by American tech companies whom totally respect your privacy, like Google scrapping all spirit airlines communication, or Flock camera drones, is just fine.
