Armenia detains former President Kocharyan on corruption charges

Robert Kocharyan, who leads the Moscow-friendly opposition and maintains close ties with Putin, was detained alongside his son and four others in raids on family businesses. Analysts say the move sent "a signal to the Kremlin" about Pashinyan's intent to confront Russian-aligned political forces.

Israel expels Dutch officials from Gaza coordination center

Israel ordered the expulsion of Dutch representatives from a US-led coordination center in southern Israel on Tuesday, escalating a diplomatic dispute after the Netherlands moved to ban imports from Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced the decision on social media platform X, saying Dutch personnel would be removed from the International Support Center for Gaza in Kiryat Gat "immediately."

Saar said the expulsion order came at the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, citing what he called "a series of anti-Israel measures taken by the Dutch government." He pointed specifically to a new Dutch law barring trade in Israeli products from the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, which is set to take effect next month.

Judge rejects Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking appeal, calling claims ‘demonstrably meritless’

Her petition, which came before the massive Epstein-related document dump by the federal government, also raised the 2007 non-prosecution agreement between federal prosecutors in Miami and Epstein, which she claimed protected her from prosecution. Maxwell was not named in that agreement.

D'oh! Part 1 of 3.

In the decision denying the petition, Engelmayer wrote that the “vast majority” of grounds on which Maxwell made her appeal “are procedurally barred – either because Maxwell made and lost the same arguments on direct appeal, or because she could have made such arguments on appeal but elected not to do so”.

D'oh! Part 2 of 3.

The judge also rejected that new evidence had come through the Trump administration-led US justice department’s multimillion page release of documents. Those, Engelmayer said, “incriminates her or reinforces the correctness of the legal rulings Maxwell challenges”.

D'oh! Part 3 of 3.

Maybe try living a life free of sex trafficking endeavors and other crimes.
