Is McDonalds in America expensive and crap?
I live in the UK and, on a visit to the US in 2017, I decided to try McDonalds in its home country, so to speak. It was significantly worse than what I'd had at home, which is saying something.

Iran-US war latest: Swiss peace talks abruptly cancelled after Trump boasts of Tehran’s ‘unconditional surrender’
This is the terrifying bit to me, FTA:
In his latest interview, Trump told Axios that there are “no limits” to his power and the peace deal is “probably is unconditional surrender” of Iran.
Trump was asked what the conflict had taught him about the limits of his power. Trump replied: "I haven't learned that lesson yet. I know there are, but there are no limits."

Kirk said gun deaths were worth it to keep the 2nd Amendment. I'm sure he'd include his own in that opinion.

Many rumours going around that Trump has died this weekend, which might well be true given his appalling diet and escalating dementia. If so, I reckon the GOP will martyr him by blaming his death on a cowardly attack by a trans black lesbian socialist vaccine scientist assassin with cerebral palsy.

After 60+ years I don't offer generic unsolicited advice any more (I learned that lesson) but if I were going to break that rule, I'd suggest you read books. Actually read them too, don't rely on audio books, and read as widely as you can. Sci-fi, mystery, romance, historical, non-fiction, just try to read a book a month. To lose yourself in a book is one of the great ways to maintain mental health.
Also, don't offer unsolicited advice.

Pam Bondi 'could be disbarred' warns criminal lawyer after Trump firing
She's 60 and rich; why would she even want to go back to work? But then I don't understand why anyone with financial freedom would choose to give up even more of their life for money they don't need.

True, but given that Trump has put tariffs on uninhabited islands in the Arctic (I believe), it's still an interesting point to make.
Edit: spelling.

Last-minute Xmas Gift Ideas for me (very poor) to get my aunt+family (very well off) who have been helping me out during a very rough time?
Any sort of festive food: for example, chocolate, mince pies, etc. Lindor truffles are nice and a small box is affordable, or perhaps some Guylian chocolate seashells. If you know she's into something specific (a posh marmalade or jam, for example) you could go with that instead. It demonstrates you chose something whilst thinking of them.
Such gifts are relatively affordable, easy to share and almost always appreciated.
