She really did claim to marry the Eiffel tower and changed her name to reflect that to Erika La Tour Eiffel.

Yes, the former part of the story is true. But she didn't divorce the Eiffel Tower and marry a fence.

The first part is not true because you can't legally marry an inanimate object like that.

She changing her name doesn't make it real. 😅

Tragically, yes. I don't know if I should, but I do feel bad for people like this that are in love with objects they can't easily bring along with them. They are stuck to a certain place and cannot really be... "alone" with their "partner". No privacy, and possibly only see them every so often.
