It's a shame PC won't be getting any more PS games, but I certainly won't be running out to buy a PS any time soon. There is more than enough on PC to keep me busy for ten lifetimes.

Dude I'd be lying if I said I never had issues, and so would anyone else who uses nux as a daily driver. Let's be real though, if you have never had an issue with Windows you are part of a blessed minority. Windows works fairly well most of the time, agreed, but so does my current distro.

I'm sure you're aware that nvidia has it's own issues, but from what I've read that is improving steadily. A big part of being on nux is the freedom, the stability and the security - seems like that is what attracted you in the first place. I think the early days of switching are definitely the hardest. As you have experienced, it can be downright fiddly. It's also largely unfamiliar, and you spend hours googling and trying to find solutions. The upside is that eventually you will solve most of these problems, or they will be solved in an update. You also gain a deeper knowledge of your OS and your machine in the process, and an appreciation of how very complex and beautiful it all is. It's a fair but at times frustrating trade.

Keep at it, things will work out eventually. Distro hopping can be fun and you may find something that works beautifully with your configuration, or you might not. Hope it goes well for you friend.

I don't disinfect my blades, just replace them about once a week. It cost me around $13 for 100 replacement blades so could easily replace more regularly and not stress about cost. The quality of shave improves with time as you learn the contours of your face, whisker grain etc. I'm told different brands and models of safety razor give varying degrees of closeness too, but can't comment as I've only ever used one. An alum stick or styptic pencil is a worthwhile investment, as it helps stop nicks from bleeding too much and calms skin irritation. I find it to be an infinitely more enjoyable experience over using a disposable razor.

This is nice to hear. A win for consumers, just imagine how much better the sales would have been without the insane memory prices.

Ukraine's resilience and tenacity is inspiring.

As I understand it, Steam Machines are not particularly powerful so I think it would be worth exploring pre-builts that are around what you want to spend to see if you can get something comparable or better. SteamOS will be available to install on all desktops at some point but in the meantime there are plenty of gaming focussed distros that will do a superb job. Unfortunately with memory prices the way they are you aren't really getting the same bang for your buck that you did previously, but there isn't much any of us can do about it at present. Good luck with it all, it is certainly a very exciting time to be getting into Linux gaming!

I do this when I go camping. The spices for each meal are in separate little containers, all appropriately measured. So much easier than carrying everything and trying to measure it by the light of a campfire.

I've been doing my first Morrowind playthrough ever after being made aware of OpenMW. It runs amazingly well on the Steam Deck and I have a very nice control scheme customised. I'm thoroughly enjoying an RPG where I'm expected to figure things out for myself.
