Picky eaters of Lemmy: Why?
Autism.
Textures & temperatures are problematic. I stay with what I know so minimise the chance of freaking out.

Flock said they were only using the cameras for license plates. Cat is out of the bag now.
They're assuming someone sprayed them. Without seeing anyone doing it. Maybe this foam just happened.
Maybe it was aliens. Or bigfoot.
Who knows...

I'm not racist, but I don't rent to Roma
About 12 years ago I was buying a property in Hungary. During the search multiple sellers, many locations in Hungary, told me "this is a very good area, there are no Roma here"
fucking wild hearing that once, let alone 5 or 6 times.

what country would you never go to again?
The US. I'm Scottish, 56 years old. I've been tot he US many times when I was younger, first time when I was 17 for just about 6 months.
I took my kid to the original Coheed & Cambria Neverender in 2008 in Manhattan when he was 15.
I made the decision to never go to the US again during Trump's first term when they implemented the Muslim ban. My good friend is Scottish Muslim. He had a holiday booked in the US for him and his family and had to cancel it. I can't stomach racism or any of the hate shit.
Seeing what's happening now simply reaffirms that I made the correct & right choice.

Ah hyperfocus
I had this one. In the 2000s. Went a long long way down that road. I lived in a city, shared a small back garden. Planted potatoes, onions, carrots, and coriander (for some reason that I don't remember). They all grey, a lot. It was fantastic. Then I got into keeping bees. Learned all about bees & how to work with them. My friend and I bought 20 colonies, built hives, convinced our local council to give us derelict land, and started an apiary where we would teach people about bees. We travelled around various festivals and took bees, and talked about bees. It was a very satisfying & focused few years.

Screw it, I’m installing Linux
Cachyos is fantastic. I installed it 7 months ago and I can never go back (I previously used Mint for years). It's the best distro I've used. Best of luck.
