GOG Summer Sale is here!

Reply in thread

Just context for people since I had to look it up myself.

Neither statement actually says Nazi or Faccism is wrong. Literally the one thing that would help them right now, and twice they failed to do it. The GoG forums are full of folks saying this has been a known problem for years that hate speech was not being moderated.

Sooooo, yeah. It's pretty disappointing. Not sending it to Germany (where it is illegal and punishable) but then okaying its use for rest of the world is a WILD explanation. Y'all get how that is worse than if it was some "some rogue intern" being a dipshut, but speaks to a company side problem.

I'm sure af not going to buy GoG anymore.

Intersex Teacher in Florida Says School Fired Him Based on Belief He Was Trans. Shepard Scalf said in an EEOC filing that a parent complained to the district that he was transgender.

Jumping off you for more information.

Intersex people were historically called the scientific, biologically inaccurate, definitionly wrong term "Hermaphrodite". Which refers to creatures such as snails that can take either role in reproduction. Humans can not do that in any capicity, intersex individuals have sex characteristics belonging to both male and females, NOT the willing ability to change their genitals in to different configurations. No human anywhere is hermaphroditic. They are referred to as intersex because they are born with sex traits that do not neatly fit in to either sex category. The human body is complicated.

Which from an etymology stand point is similar to the term "transexual" as in someone who was categorized into one of those two options but have transitioned their physical sex characteristics via medication or surgery. As opposed to "transgender" which is clothing, hair style and social roles. Sex is what is in your pants, gender is what type of pants you wear.

But I want to make clear that I'm only explaining terminology, transexual and transgender are the same community facing the same struggles so the umbrella term "trans" applies to both. Some intersex people consider themselves trans, others do not and both answers are correct. Having said all that, the idea that any of these terms inherently makes someone dangerous to children or unemployable is just rank bigotry.

Tim Walz defiantly defends trans people from Republicans’ “demonizing” attacks

I'm honestly heartened to hear Waltz specfically voice support for trans folk. This is opposed to Harris who said she would follow the law in regards to my community, which sounds good but I need everyone to understand that it could be said by a governor in a southern state enforcing anti trans legislation. Waltz actually went the distance to say we should to be legally left alone. There is a stark difference between these two statements, even if I glad to hear both.

Reddit purges all NSFW subreddits

r/transgender_surgeries wasn't porn. It was a community outlet for results so people could understand what to expect. Queer folk always get swept up with porn, cishet only see us as a "kink" and assume our existence is entirely sexual.

It's fucking infuriating.
