Hunter Biden spitting truth

They are, if the primary was for lower house seats, representatives. Their job (in theory) is to represent the collective wants and needs of their constituents to congress and vote or introduce bills accordingly. Unfortunately in most Western democracies this little fact seems to get forgotten by those who are elected and party politics tends to take over.

Yeah, what are you doing with the voting machines?

In Australia we get the 'general' result, i.e. which party won and winners of most seats, on the night of the election, with a few seats needing a week or two to fully count and recount. Sure it might take a few hours but the AEC have things pretty streamlined.

Supermarkets destroy food if it doesn't sell. We can always feed the world. We just don't.

It sounds great on the surface, but you just know there are total assholes out there who would exploit the system with artificially inflated shipping costs to the point where they're hardly paying tax at all. This, as is commonly said, is why we can't have nice things.

'Gay walking speed' may have unexpected health benefits, experts say
It's gay to walk quickly. It's gay to take your own bags to the shops. It's gay to have empathy.
Holy shit there are a lot of people out there who are very insecure with themselves.

"If you tell a lie big enough and tell it frequently enough, people will eventually come to believe it". What is an example of this happening today?
Vaccines will give you autism, microchips, actual diseases etc. It's one of the best medical breakthroughs in history and we have idiots ruining it.

Satanic display at Iowa Capitol vandalized ‘beyond repair’; arrest made
Reply in thread
This is the funniest thing. Satan IS part of their religion! I bet if it was a statue of Budda or Muhammad it would have been left alone, but since it's part of THEIR OWN religion that they don't like, it get vandalised. Hilarious

In Australia I knew I guy who was a SovCit and he would do stupid things like quote the bill of rights. We'd say "what bill of rights?" Australia doesn't have one. All his info came from the US and he just followed it with realising none of it was relevant in a different country.

Empty rooms and Fifa cancellations - US hotels fear World Cup washout
OK. First, FIFA booking out a heap of hotel rooms then dropping them when they realised they won't be able to scalp them is shitty behaviour, but probably not out of the norm. Raising prices to astronomical heights is also shitty behaviour, but it's the capitalist nation of the world so what do you expect?
The elephant in the room that got glossed over with one sentence in the article is: nobody in their right mind wants to visit the USA. The place is a fucking disaster and the chances of a foreigner getting shot, locked up or deported for pretty much no reason is so high you've got to be a total fuckwit to want to go there. If I was given a free ticket to the US with spending money included, I'd still be asking for a refund.
I still hope the Canada and Mexico games are completely sold out though. Watching the juxtaposition of empty "free world" stadia vs full "shit hole country" stadia is going to be glorious.

"Pure Insanity": 1 Air Traffic Controller Reportedly Managed All Flights At Newark Liberty For 3 Hours
Here's a fantastic case for a union. There simply MUST be a minimum number of personnel looking after any given airspace for it to be considered safe, or the whole area gets shut down. It really is pure insanity, and no single person should be responsible for all flights at an airport. If something bad had happened who would get blamed? Who would live the rest of their life knowing they had been taken advantage of and put in a position where over a hundred lives were lost? It's simply unacceptable that one person should bear that responsibility.
