I actually really like the aesthetic of the Tesla Cybertruck.
Upvote because that truly is an unpopular opinion from what I’ve seen and I think they make the Pontiac Aztec look classy.

looking for a laptop without wireless connectivity
In most laptops you can remove the WiFi/Bluetooth card if you are ok with a permanent solution.

I assume it has a lot to do with efficiency, and correct me if I am wrong, but I think it goes Diesel -> Generator -> Traction Motors

IPhones' default photo format is HEIC, something that Windows doesn't open by default.
You can change this in Settings > Camera > Formats > choose Most Compatible to change from HEIF/HEVC to JPEG/H.264
EDIT: I use XnViewMP to browse photos and it can convert HEIC to JPG and HandBrake can handle HEVC to MP4 or MKV.

I used Linux Mint Cinnamon on my Framework 13 using the 11th gen Intel and just recently upgraded it to the Ryzen 7840U. It works very well with both. For a nicer display scaling experience I recommend the 2880x1920 display.

Anybody using a framework laptop?
I love mine I've had it over 2 years. It was a first-gen DIY Framework 13 and I ran into a faulty fan early on. I worked with their tech support and they sent a replacement fan under warranty. Took 5 minutes to put it in and all parts inside have QR codes that take you to the marketplace for replacements and repair instructions.
They do have official Linux support for Ubuntu and Fedora. I can attest to Linux Mint working well on it although I don't use the fingerprint reader, which I've read has some issues on some distros.
As for upgradability, I've not needed to yet but you can just order a new motherboard and any other parts off their marketplace and drop it straight in. Should take around 20 minutes or so. I suspect this would take longer on the 16 since it is more complex.
Also, here is a link to the marketplace if you want to browse the parts. I think you could build one from scratch from here, but I think it would cost more that way. https://frame.work/marketplace

Sometimes you gotta weigh job security and a tolerable work environment into the mix. Working for Musk doesn't seem low-stress.

How do I download YouTube videos in 1080p instead of 4k with yt-dlp?
Reply in thread
To elaborate a little on this, if the format you want doesn't have audio you may have to combine two formats. -F lists the formats, -f to choose them. As an example you can choose to combine an audio and video format like this: yt-dlp -f 136+140 [URL]

Making peace with liking very few games?
I think you just described me exactly. I constantly replay a few specific games but very little grabs my attention like the few I love.

I'll second the Framework. I've had one since the 1st gen Framework 13 and love it.

I'm sick of directors/editors using jump scares in non-horror movies
I don't like jump scares, even in horror movies. I feel like they use jump scares and excessive gore as cheat codes when they can't write a decent plot.
Edit: Not that excessive gore bothers me, and it can be cool at times, but it needs to be backed up by a decent story or its pointless to me.

I don't do any kind of coding and I'm sure the program is nowhere near as complete as Notepad++, but check out Notepadqq. It appears to be attempting to replicate the Notepad++ experience on Linux. https://notepadqq.com/s/

Debian for Linux gaming?

I'll second Mint as well. I play mostly small indie games but have played Cyberpunk 2077, Far Cry 5, and Terminator: Resistance with no problems. The worst I've experienced is having to tell Steam to use a different version of Proton for some games (I recently had trouble launching Cyberpunk on Proton Experimental so I downgraded to the next most recent and it worked fine). I also have an AMD GPU so no driver mess.
