My Pixel 10 Pro XL is allegedly capable of fast charging at up to 45W. Great, I have a 65W charger, let's give it a go - it tops out at 22.5W no matter what. Alright, I'll try my 30W charger - only 15W now. How about the 20W one, will that work? Nope, still only 15W.

I do some searching and found out that the Pixel needs a charger that supports PPS rather than just PD to achieve higher charging speeds. So I find a 45W charger that supports PPS. Finally, let's give it a go! ... 24-25W maximum. Turns out that yes, it does support PPS, but not up to 21V which the Pixel needs to charge at 37-38W (and it won't go up to 45W despite Google's claim that it's capable of that).

All that said, that has nothing to do with the connector cable. It's just that USB charging standards are a mess.

Australian consumer law specifically protects against this. The consumer has a choice between a repair (if possible), a refund or a replacement; the retailer doesn't get to choose for them. At today's prices, replacement is the only sensible choice. The retailer has to take it up with the manufacturer to cover their costs.

Helldivers are absolutely victims of Super Earth's leadership. The tutorial shows just how little training they actually receive, then they're immediately frozen and shipped off to be used as disposable cannon fodder. Their missions are almost always accomplished by throwing Helldivers at the objective until the ones lucky enough to survive complete it, or they run out of bodies.

Calling it "porn" makes it sound more legitimate and less like the heinous abuse that it really is.

It's a long bow to draw, but you could argue that AMD contributed to killing Clear Linux by taking back a lot of market share (particularly in the lucrative server market), forcing Intel to make big budget cuts, which included Clear Linux.

In reality, Intel's problems are largely self-inflicted. However, I don't think they'd be in as much trouble as they are if AMD wasn't also in such a strong competitive position.

It's bullshit doublespeak that really means "we're cutting costs (in the short term, the only term that matters)". Reducing headcount doesn't reduce the workload, it just means each remaining person has to do more work.

But he doesn't charge interest and sets no deadlines for payments. All he asks is that you pay off your existing loan before he'll give you another one.

The article mentions it in passing, but I want to point out that the accusations came to light in 2021 and he was kicked out of the Liberal party (they're the mainstream conservative party in Australia FYI), then suspended from the NSW Parliament when he was charged in 2022, but he was still re-elected in 2023 despite criminal charges hanging over his head. Even after he was convicted he took legal action to fight against expulsion from the Parliament rather than resigning like any MP with a shred of integrity would do, and only finally resigned literally hours before the expulsion vote was to be held (which was definitely going to pass).
