I was permabanned from Reddit; I still don't know why
Do they actually have reasons to ban someone? Most Reddit bans nowadays seem rather arbitrary. Maybe they value accounts on how well they are usable for AI training...

How much money have you lost while gambling in one day?
I once won a voucher at a congress fair boot for about 25 bucks for visiting a casino. But then I noticed that the casino was basically at the other end of the city, and getting there would be time consuming and expensive.
So i didn't go. Does that count as gambling loss?

If Phones Are Killing Pedestrians, Why Is It Only Happening in America?
Two reasons (at least): we don't have that many SUVs and monster trucks on our roads. And police here is rather strictly enforcing the law with regards to cell phones.

Residents who live near data centers say a constant low-frequency vibration is ruining their health and homes

Raising taxes on the superrich is popular with voters. So why is it so hard to get done?

For the US, this would require removing companies from political actions, and channeling private political donations to a neutral handler that limits those to a certain maximum amount.

Have a number of big fans run at almost the same frequency, and you get an onslaught of waves at the differences of those frequencies.
As they are all nearly the same speed/frequency, the differences will be infrasound, which causes a lot of odd effects on people, like anxiety.

I remember the time where basically every user on the internet was an academic. The net was very different back then. Then came AOL and the eternal September.

Nobody in politics really cares for voters. They just tell convenient lies, and once you dropped your vote into the ballot box, you stop to exist for them again. You are just the annoying necessary means to lift them up to the pork barrels of political bribery.
