Dolph is prime human

Bill Nye is an entertainer / educator. I've met plenty of people with PHDs and masters who couldn't present a basic concept because they're too caught up in technicalities and not understanding what it's like to teach and get people interested in something.

Hi Boss

There were replies between the messages so the notifications wouldn't show messages that were already considered read. Just seemed scripted. Unless the wife was the one who sent the first 2 replies.

Not worth getting hung up on authenticity though since there will never be a way to prove if it's wrong or real. I just try to appreciate the humor and assume it was faked either way.

Trump Claims He Will Debate Biden 'ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE'

Reply in thread

Regardless of how the debate goes, Trump supporters will already defend his performance and conservative media will talk about how Trump dominated and humiliated Biden.

Tbf, Biden supporters will probably do something similar.

We are in an awkward position where the opponents are so polarized that debates and discourse does very little to sway the bases. And the so called undecided votes have such eclectic criteria that it makes it difficult to pin down what they really want.

Repairable Bike Tips

Most bikes that retail for more than $600 or so will likely be very repairable. Department store bikes where the stem is integrated and has cheap components are harder to repair in that the parts typically just need to be replaced when they stop working and the metal used is so soft they tend to get chewed up easily as soon as you start working on it.

The parts will likely be held together using a combination of hex or torx bolts and very few if any use of Phillips screws. That can be a sign of a bike that is hard to repair if they're cheaping out on parts. That being said there are some bikes made of steel and large bolts and nuts which are designed for rugged use and ease of repair in 3rd world countries.

Watching YouTube videos on bike repairs like park tools or some of the Berm Peak flip bike videos can get you an idea of what bike repair entails and some red flags.

Who here cries at TV shows or movies?

Growing up, I'd occasionally tear up over a sad movie.

Now that I'm older, I seek out movies that tend to be depressing and tragic. Watching them alone let's me express a level of empathy or grief that is almost therapeutic. Most mainstream movies that are deemed sad may still only get me to slightly tear up like the past. But I've encountered enough indy or slightly lesser know films that fly under the radar and they make me ugly cry.

Being in a vulnerable mindset kind of helps because there are moments where I could probably fight it mentally and hold back my reaction. But if I allow myself to let go, then it's full on sobbing.

Recent movies that had that effect on me are Drawing Closer, and How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies.

It's not always empathy, somethings its a personal element where I relate to someone on screen and I use them as a conduit to express the emotions I might normally suppress or stoicly ignore.

Boobs and Board

Reply in thread

Maybe it's a commentary about how the human body is beautiful but breast are supported by man made objects like this board (bras) and it distracts from the beauty. Just a first stab. Art pieces like this are meant to provoke thought.
