Am I the only one?

I mean what are they going to charge them with? Isn't the point of suing someone that they have to prove damages. So they would have to prove that slowly releasing information about their game somehow impacted their sales/profits wouldn't they?

If stocks drop because information that hypes people up for your product comes out it's worse than crypto and everyone is being scammed.

The reason the stock is dropping is because they said you'll get a product by x, and the product isn't going to be ready. If you don't make deadlines people think you are incompetent. People don't like to invest in incompetent companies.

I'd argue if they sued the guy they should lose lose sales. As such they would be hurting themselves to sue him. Hell I'll just outright say I'll never buy or play another rockstar game if they sue someone for it.

Edit*: To be honest though... I probably wasn't going to play it anyways, lol. I haven't even bothered to look at the leaks. If someone thought leaks would possibly ruin something for them, why would they look at them?

Waking up in the middle of the night to have sex, I don't think I've done that since I was around 20. Minds mature, bodies get tired. There isn't such a fascination and obsession with "but I want to get laid" once you've had sex a a hundred times. Getting a good rest and not disturbing your partners rest has become more prominent for me.

FCC scraps cap on tv ownership critics worry it gives corporations too much power

Maybe, but limiting expansion can't hurt. I do think people are right that our government is completely shot though. If we swung far enough to get enough people in to fix it we'd have to scrap most of what was there, it would show a lot of up front turmoil, many wouldn't immediately show things being better and would cause enough voters to just say this isn't working because we didn't see immediate results. Making it so every 4 years we would have complete firings and gutting of everything with illegal acts rampaging everything as a constant because it will become the standard practice or else nothing could change.

‘Who builds a ballpark next to a gun range?’: Coach injured by gunfire that crossed into baseball diamond

People in a field shoot without reguard to what's in the direction of the bullets they are firing. Kids flee, a coach is shot and someone thought they should blame the baseball field builders lol. Mate if you fire a gun and there is any reasonable belief that bullet can strike something other than your target, you should be charged with shooting at that object.

To me that means attempting to kill that coach/kids.

Ryan Walters, the Oklahoma schools chief who mandated that all schools teach the Bible, was caught watching porn in his office

Being that it is presumably a state owned company, they should know if there is a VPN installed on it. If there isn't, the guy would have had to use his ID to access porn sites in Oklahoma. It would be hilarious if someone like pornhub came out and said. On that date at that time he was watching this porn according to our records. We have those records because your state made them mandatory for us to keep.

I worked multiple customer facing roles when I was younger. This is the procedure for all of them, in fact it is usually a firable offense to try to stop someone with a weapon or threatened you. It is easy to defend stolen product to an insurance company. If you try to stop someone robbing a store and are injured or killed do to a policy the store had or a manager told you, the insurance isn't going to pay anything. Someone stealing "$30,000" worth of merchandise (which insurance pays you back for) and then being on cameras and not being able to use a lot of it without getting caught is much more preferable than having to pay hundreds of thousands in medical bills or millions in gross negligence if someone dies.

I mean the CEO of Ford said it was humbling when he traveled to China to see what they were doing. Then he imported a Xiaomi SU7 to Michigan apparently so they could "study" it. The U.S. called that reverse engineering anytime China did such when I was growing up.

Performative Perp Walk

I never liked those shoes. They are like a bad knock off of toms. Somehow they even make shittier crocs for jails as well... I remember walking into a Walmart and a guy being like "yo when did you serve" as I was buying a pair of entnies (didn't know they sold them there, but they were like $25) to finish my 19 mile walk home. Wasn't sure how he knew at first, then realized he remembered those shitty shoes as well.

(Things not to do in life, get pulled out of bed in the middle of the night by police wearing no shoes and forced to walk across a stone driveway.)

Innocent until proven guilty time and time again proves to be not how our system works. Alleged charges were dismissed and expunged. The impact on my life, not able to be taken back.

'CDC is over': RFK Jr. lays off over 1,000 employees in Friday night massacre

More and more does it look like we are going to need a huge general strike with everyone refusing to work for about 2 months. It may cause a lot of people to go homeless if anyone can enforce evictions and many may starve. But the immediate move for companies while the markets crash into the Trumppression would have to be for billionaires to try to forcibly move their companies over seas in attempts to save anything they have left.

The alternative is 100 years of massive viral/bacterial spreads that wipe us out in essential plagues while wealth disparity forces large swaths of the country into slavery.

I really hope it doesn't come to either.. but that's what this administration is forcing the population into.

Edit: Note earlier this year this administration already made massive cuts to NOISH, some of which were reversed, which is the administration that under/in the CDC that pushes research to OSHA to help ensure the health and safety of workers.
