Paint: questioning a cheap endeavor
Commercials for bear, sherman williams, etc show up around and everyone sees them eventually. Has anyone actually found a cheap paint that covers well and looks nice (water based for indoor) that is cheap and worth the idea of experimenting or doing a room that you know you will have to repaint white later before you move out. Been here 4 years, no real plans of leaving, fuck I put a chicken coop out back a near 2 years ago.. but I know a day will come when they say "hey your rent is going up drastically or you can't have pets or something"
Sadly they switched from year leases to month to month 3 years ago (after the first year) but I figure at some point maybe it is worth just painting something to make it more homeish than damnit I'm still here
Lentils; Which, why in what?
What are your favorite type of lentils, what do you use them in, why are they preferred for that dish than others?
I recently realized I have only had maybe 1 or two types, and upon searching them found they all supposedly taste different and have different textures.
Wherher it is for cheap decent soup or an old family recipe; slap me with some information
Plants they won't f with
So I have a yellow bellied slider. He became my mate when his brothers/sisters kept getting run over at a workplace, I would throw. 2-3 back on the lake every day but many were run over by Golf carts and stepped on. So about 7 years later, I have one I brought home and had been in a tank swimming his whole life. As in full water, float on logs when tired. He has never complained more than when I leave him on the floor to exist. He loves the water, and for the longest time liked being fed by us... So I assumed that meant he isn't scared of us. I am curious if I moved to a half water, half plant situation if it would be to drastic for him? I don't want to hurt him, he's obviously family to me at this point. I keep draining his tank to make sure it is clean enough, but I was drawn to thinking, what if. Because he got along with 2 fish he knew as he was young for years. He would kill everything else. Everything. Fish, shrimp, crawfish anything. It his 2 friends, he kept no matter what. 1 died 2 year ago due to a water clean transfer I guess ( or at least I call it my fault). The second died of age or loneliness. Turtileman no longer has friends and I don't know how to broch new friends without him just eating them... Any advice?
I'm thinking maybe plants, cleaning fish and self sufficient, but a turtle says no lol
Church Called
So the head of a church (priest/preacher/pastor, whomever calls them self father) calls in asking why he's getting charged taxes on apps in his app store. Says he bought two new iPhone 17 pro max's tax free (one for his wife one for him) and his computers should be tax free because "they are for the church". Your apps aren't for the church. Your phone is not for the church, God didn't demand you answer a phone or download an app.. get back to your damn church and pay your sales taxes person who points his phone at a Donald Trump tie and thinks you are the person who isn't the mooch
On screen Advertising, it's a TV
Why are there on screen ads for a TV which can't be clicked on. It's fucking rediculous
Jerboa app doesn't use enough power
I've been stuck in a virtual training this week and normally I know I should stop using an app because it eats all my battery up. Multiple days this week I have been in the app for 2-3 hours and my phone battery is still over 80% when I'm done with a 9 hour shift.

I thought 85g was Big, now she hit 100g
Most of our eggs are on the jumbo side, we got a few tiny ones now from hens that are just hitting the age, but I've got one hen that just spits out huge eggs. I posted an 85g 8 months ago on here, but now this one is 100
FunOS - Have any of you used this
Is this a decent OS to move users off Win too that I won't have to do a lot of remote maintenance on? I have a few varied OS's installed on machines around and Cinnamon I have found to look/feel a lot like Windows 7 which would benefit the learning curve for family/friends looking or needing to find an OS to install on a machine that isn't newer.
Curious if anyone has used this, and if so if it is a good fit for those 60+ aged family members and such. They have all used Windows for work at least a decent amount, so keeping things similar is always good. A decent App Store would be nice though. I hated the default store in Pop_OS.
If I could say do updates and reboot every once in awhile and you should be fine it'd be great. Remoting in with RustDesk and sudo Apt Update/Upgrade being all that is needed also would be great, but you know how that goes. Someone will break something, and I just want something intuitive enough that they won't do it often.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a good place you can chat with people casually without the intent of it being romantically involved. Every app seems to be all about bots, sexual interactions, and such.
Just looking for people interested in chatting via text and such (really don't understand why people like video chats, I could see if it were romantically inclined perks in that, but it's not for that). Intent I believe is to combat loneliness without having to enter into something where one party is hoping to find a relationship or fuck buddy.
Honestly couldn't even care if names are exchanged.
Egg Size
So my eggs are usually pretty set in size, and it is hard to tell in the photo but one of my hens missed a day (unusual for her) and I assumed it was because it was cold and maybe she'd slow her laying as I am used to raising chickens in Florida, and now in the Nashville area so it has been in the 20s at night lately. The next day she laid this mammoth egg. This batch(?) of chickens is young so I getting to know them still. Should I be concerned for any reason about this, or is it possible she is still growing and is just going to lay Jumbo sized eggs in the future?
