I would emphasize that whatever method is chosen, the uncertainties are sizeable. The global warming rate, even after the recent acceleration, might be merely 0.025°C/yr (0.25°C per decade) or as high as 0.06°C/yr (0.6°C per decade).

The high end of that range is more than twice the low end, and if the planet heats up that much then by the year 2050 we’ll not only pass 1.5°C and 2°C, we’ll be well past 2.5°C. Even at the lower end of the range we’ll still cross 2°C by the year 2050.

This does not look good.

the "solution" to human entitlement appears to be climate change.

Benjamin Netanyahu has led Israel into a trap in which ever-increasing strategic commitments are outstripping the productive base that finances them, and the goodwill on which its alliances depend is being destroyed. While a new government would not transform Israeli foreign policy, it could begin to drag Israel out of its morass.

The opposition parties are united by a few objectives. They want to hold Netanyahu accountable for the security failures that made the October 7 attack possible and for the conduct of the war in Gaza. They want to halt his anti-democratic judicial reforms. And they want to force the large ultra-Orthodox community—a key partner in Netanyahu’s governments—to share the burden of military service (from which they are exempt) and to participate in the labor market (instead of living on government subsidies). This platform is unlikely to attract a clear majority. Instead, polls now point to a tie between the two major blocs.

Framework Laptop 12 (2026) Review: The Linux MacBook Neo alternative?

Alas my Surface Pro (running Linux) has shit the bed and I am not sure what to get, the Framework 12 or ... 13pro or Tuxedo 13pro where my choices and run the 13 as a desktop via TB dock at home and retire my actual desktop (an older mini pc).

The issue for me is I travel 7 or 8 months a year, the other 4 or 5 months the laptop sits in the bag at home doing nothing, so a pumped up laptop with TB used for both, or a cheaper travel laptop that sits idle for long periods ?
