I agree with your first part, your second part is wrong.

The ladies that made the accusations against him, which he confirmed were all true, were up-and-coming comedians.

They said because he was in a position of power they felt like they couldn't say no to his request.

To his credit, he validated every woman that made an accusation. He also said he didn't realize the women were saying yes because of the implication if they said no. I tend to believe his story because after the women came forward, he admitted what happened, and the allegations stopped, no one else came forward. That seems to me like a guy that used bad judgement and didn't understand the power he had.

I think him taking a timeout, realizing that women have a whole different set of circumstances to deal with that guys don't, and reflecting on that was warranted. I don't think he needs to be shunned forever.

The Supreme Court signals it might be losing patience with Trump

Reply in thread

This is what drives me crazy.

Ok, the president is immune, the people that execute his orders are not.

If the courts started holding people under the president accountable for their actions there would be a change in the wind.

Yes, for the defeatists, holding those people accountable is complex and the president would just pardon them but, it would start a real process of the branches of government holding each other accountable.

Trump says he'll issue $2,000 tariff dividend to all except 'high-income people'

"The $2,000 dividend could come in lots of forms, in lots of ways, George," Bessent told anchor George Stephanopoulos. "You know, it could be just the tax decreases that we are seeing on the president's agenda -- you know, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security, deductibility of auto loans."

The end of the article gives away the game. There's no plan. They don't intend to help people, they're going to tell you they already gave it to you, and you should be thankful.

Controversial Deleted Scene From Now-Cancelled Star Wars Series 'The Acolyte' Finally Revealed.

Reply in thread

It was canceled because it was bad.

Qimir was great and I think the big lightsaber fight is some of the best in live action star wars.

However, the story is horribly under developed and is full of nepotism. I don't care that the setting is a lesbian witch commune, I do care that the showrunner hired her wife, who's acting is so bad, I spent the first scenes she's in wondering how she got the job.

The trailers hyped Carrie-Anne Moss and positioned the show almost as a star war version of The Matrix type action, only to kill her character almost immediately.

Sol is incredibly creepy.

Once I said to my therapist "I'm sure you hear this kind of thing all the time", and she said "No, this is like top 5".

If you're honest about your shit, therapists are there to help you look at things from a different perspective.

If you're not going to be honest it's garbage in/garbage out.

You also need to find a therapist you vibe well with. If you don't believe in Jesus and they tell you to follow Jesus, that shit isn't going to work. Your first session should be you interviewing them while they ask you questions.

There's also ones that totally suck.

Microsoft AI CEO pushes back against critics after recent Windows AI backlash — "the fact that people are unimpressed ... is mindblowing to me"

Holy fuck. I have to paste shit from reports into Outlook daily and that stupid fucking menu that pops up asking about if I want the formatting to match, that you can't get rid of, drives me crazy.

And! And! You want a sync button? It's not just hanging out anymore, you have to find it. Don't like more clicks? That's ok, use the F key. But not F5 like is standard on browsers! Enjoy pressing F9.

First world problems but they're mine!

Yep...

He missed a step before and some after:

Do everything humanly possible with the thing, learn exactly how it works, become subject matter expert, then put it somewhere.

Have someone randomly ask about the thing, knowledge dump, excited to show the person the thing, forget where you put it.

Be at home a few weeks later, find the thing, be sad you couldn't find it earlier, put it in a new pile, for sure you'll remember where it is this time!
