Fire Emblem Awakening doesn't seem too bad a place to take a vacation.

1

Witcher 3. I might be a little fucked, but I think I'd have fun before I died. Maybe I could get lucky and be one of the rich folks in a city and live peacefully for a year.

1

RDR2 for me as well. At least there's options. I would probably play it safe by ditching the gang before I contract tuberculosis and just live as a hunter up in the mountains. The mechanics of the game would make that quite easy compared to IRL.

Alternatively, the epilogue does seem nice.

2

Well, I would be royally screwed. I cannot explain why at all due to major spoilers, but I would be stuck in Pokemon Rejuvenation. If you have played the game up until the current final chapter or at least know the story, you know why I am royally screwed.

All I can say is being in the official pokemon game with the most villainous and successful evil team would be paradise because at least I know nobody really ever dies, NPC or otherwise.

1

PUBG. Im gonna get murdered a lot, but at least death isnt final, given respawns exist. At least the pubg maps are quite large and interesting to explore.

2

That actually sounds pretty ideal. I'd just do what i do in the game anyway. Ride my horse, pick flowers, collect skins, camp. Occasionally go into town to get supplies and unload my furs.

But I'd end up in Spiderman. Do i get to be Spiderman or just some shmo on the street?

3

Kerbal Space Program. I'll probably die but at least I'll (likely) get to see space and go out in a blaze of glory

2

You'll sit in a capsule for all that time in interplanetary space or abandoned on the surface of some celestial body. Pray that there's no life support mods installed. In any case, you'll go mad

Overwatch. It looks fun from the outside, but I'm forced to participate in short matches where I repeatedly die, come back and kill cute yet soulless people all day long, for a year.

I started eating people on day 3. There is a hole were my humanity used to be. A hole that can only be filed by trembling, bloody, screaming flesh. The hamster was first. He was easy. Then, month after month, I got through the rest of the roster, each one with a different bottle of wine from the Paris deathmatch map. Now my appetite, form and spirit have grown beyond what is humanly conceivable. When the map loads and they see me, they all run and shriek as my many mouths start tearing through their ever fresh, juicy bodies. As if they too were starting to remember their unending, inescapable demise.

One day it will end, but in the meantime I need to feel their bones break and heartbeats fade on my tongues. Such delicious marrow. Such delicious broth.

I'm well travelled, own several starships, and am mostly fluent in gek. Of course I have to fend off daily attacks by pirates and sentinels.

Damn it's been a couple of years since I last played NMS... Should probably try to hop back in to see what kind of updates there's been. Probably a ton

Minecraft. Honestly, send me into the wilderness where I can build a little log cabin by a lake, make furniture, and live off the land. And the only people around are some zombies who don't try to talk to you. Keep your million.

12

These are the end times

There was no hope of survival

This is how you died

Project Zomboid, so pretty fucked!

22

Stuck in a medieval post-apocalyptic North America. Not good. (CK3 After the End mod)

My last game was StarCraft, so I'd be dead via ling rush within the first three minutes.

10

That's fine, but know one day the straw that will break you will be you will be your lack of a dinner table.

6

Not sure how I would live in hollow knight silksong exactly do I have to be a bug or would I be myself situated above the zones.

15

Project zomboid on easy settings (low amount of zombies, zombies are dumb, high amount of loot and easy skill gain). I'd take it. Even regular settings would be a dream in comparison to dealing with state violence, so I'd be pretty happy.

11

I like to play with the RV interiors mod, hook a trailer to a Winnebago and just wander from place to place collecting food, seeing the sights

2

I opened elden ring for the first time In years Yesterday, there could be worse games, plenty of safe places to hide

3

Same game and same thought. You mean I get to be a multimillionaire farmer girl who's dating every single eligible bachelor(ette) in the valley simultaneously? I'd give my million dollar prize back if it means I get to stay.

Warframe for me. I don't think I would have very good chances of making through a whole year.

8

Hang out on a relay and hope it doesn't get blown up I suppose. Or be Valkyr.

6

Hmm...

Not bad, I guess. At least if I'm in my own city, we're pretty set, food and water are both being produced onboard. I guess I'm a bird person now?

2

I don't think I'd survive 5 minutes, let alone a year being bombarded with blocks from Beatsaber. Unless I can stand next to the track.

Depends on how Night City treats me. Not sure I wanna chromed for a year's stay.

9

Pretty good, tbh. I've been playing Palworld and I think I'd do okay, even if I got dropped into a permadeath server. Yeah you gotta grind, but you don't really have to do much of anything, the pals do basically everything for you.

9

Wonder why those survivors on the beach are so freaked out, the worst thing on their island are chickens and sheep

2

You mean I can like, be in VrChat? Like my character, and my friends, and all these amazing places to go to? Dude sign me up, that's my escape from reality.

1

If it means to completion, then Paper Mario would be pretty cozy. If just last game played, SuperTux would be nice too. Yay! :3

4

Played a "Hell on Earth" run on Killing Floor 3 last, so I'm well and truly fucked.

5

Seems that would be Anomalous Coffee Machine. I guess that would depend on which character’s place I have to take

Game I've been playing the last couple of days is high-ish-magic medieval-style fantasy, which isn't the worst world to live in. Question is whether the protagonists have been through the area yet, otherwise there's nonzero risk of dying from supernatural creature attack or evil cults, on top of goblins and orcs which probably aren't any worse than historic "barbarian" attacks but deadly all the same.

Do you have access to magic? Because if you're just a normal person in a medieval world you have a pretty high chance of dying from an infection from some random small injury, and never mind the monsters or whatever.

Alternatively, if you are an NPC with plot armor you're probably good.

1

Medieval societies already had some division of labor, even actual medieval medicine experts generally knew enough to treat small cuts. Since it's a relatively high-magic world (Divinity's Rivellon), chances are decent that they have actual healing magic, too (whether that's actually accessible to peasants and random foreigners is another matter TBF). So I'm not saying the medicine I could access would necessarily be great from a rich western country's perspective, but trying to survive there for a year isn't exactly a death sentence, either. Lots of other game worlds would be way worse.

1

Just HAD to play a Helldivers 2 match last night didn't I.... Well I mean zomboid with 1 out of 5 zombies being a runner probably ain't gonna do me no favors either.... I'm boned
