Superbowl

My life is falling apart. The last reliable and consistent thing in my life is the owl picture instance. I don't even like animals.

No pressure or anything there! ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm glad I serve a wide range of functions with my owl stories, but you can just talk to me about non-owl stuff if you ever need to.

I ain't gonna burden you with that buddy, it's just been a really rough year. Just keep doing what you're doing. Hopefully the owl pictures will get me through to the point I can return to my Aztec studies.

Well the offer still stands if you need it. I'm just another person over here on my end, not some content farm. I've really enjoyed your participation in our group and want you to be happy.

I know you're not too far away from where I live or work as well, and while I don't have a huge social network since I'm more introverted in real life, if you're looking for work or some type of community resource or something, I can look around.

Regardless, I am wishing you all the best! You have always been really nice talking with me.

Came here to mention this. Owl of the year is the best thing on Lemmy!

I'm pretty proud of how Travel developed this year; i just relaunched it last week to fix the name.

It's all accurate travel information and fun travel shares.

This is the old com with more content to see if you're interested in the OC to come.

For those who are viewing a community and it looks empty, that means you're the first person from your instance to have ever visited that community.

If you decide to subscribe to it, you and everyone else from your instance will start seeing new posts that gets posted after you subscribed.

That means you're the first person to subscribe to that community from your instance. Just subscribe to it and everyone from your instance will see the new stuff posted starting from today.

It's just an unfortunate problem with the Fediverse that we have to live with, unless someone is able to solve this issue in the future.

I thought that might be it, but then squirrel's link worked perfectly.

Also, the original link is still empty for me.

If one user must get an empty sub sacrifice themselves so that the rest of their instance can see the full sub live, that's... tragic and romantic and stupid.

I've narrowed it down to capitalization of community names in Voyager when using a PieFed account. Doesn't happen on the WebUI, doesn't happen on Voyager with Lemmy account. GitHub issue

Yes, there is an owl picture to fit any style or decor.

If God made owls, I would consider that an endorsement of owls.

We just voted the Buffy Fish Owl as our Owl of the Year, so that could be a good place to start looking.

It means you have a house located near owl food and owl shelter.

Thank you for the specific replies. I know you're a caretaker of owls.

Indeed!

I finished getting my preventative rabies shots in November, so hopefully even more animals next year. I need to get my antibody levels checked to make sure it took yet, and then I can take care of bats, foxes, groundhogs, skunks, and raccoons as well.

Try viewing it locally. It does appear empty from your instance.

This has happened to me when on a small instance from which no one has viewed a community before. Once the insurance has loaded the community at least once, stuff should appear.

I can't explain it too well, but [email protected] is the kind of a comm I use for treating depression. I can just sit down and browse it and go "Ooo, interesting and neat stuff".

Shameless self-promotion for ![email protected]

A radio station for Lemmy users, by Lemmy users (and eventually the greater Fediverse).

Coming soon!

Currently accepting song submissions and applications for DJs/presenters/podcasters. Website is currently down so please PM me for more info.

I personally enjoy the Curated Tumblr comm as well as Microblog Memes. Usually worth a laugh or a pique of my interest.

(Sorry I don't know how to link communities, esp on mobile)

[email protected] My home away from home - Currenly only have like... 3 (?) users actually part of the diaspora but like a bunch of... I guess sort of guests? (Okay slightly political, but only when relevent)

[email protected] & [email protected] - Original Poetry - I mean I don't think political poems are banned, but if it does get political, at least its poetic.

[email protected]

[email protected] - Language stuff, should be apolitical

[email protected]

[email protected]

[email protected] - I mean politics is kinda intertwined... so just slightly political

[email protected] - Sometimes political, sometimes apolitical

I have a mile long list of content filters for political topics and I'm adding new ones weekly.

I started ![email protected] to replace the reddit sub but I only posted a few things there. I like more dedicated games in general but sometimes browser games are a brief fun distraction (although there are definitely extensive ones as well).

Yes but it's also perfectly valid to want your social media experience to be exclusively for easy non political entertainment.

I don't need to think about that stuff during the five minutes of free time I have between other stuff. I want to see crafts or animals or learn about geography or languages. An apolitical social media experience does not make an apolitical life or individual.
