The reason is that from ~1880 to 1930 there were hundreds of violent riots and revolts, assassinations of CEOs, literal wars (Coal Wars, check out the movie Matewan) fought between workers and capital owners, etc. So to stop all the violence and assassinations of executives, they finally realized they should give at least something to the workers.

This regime has caused so much damage to our national security, much of which we won't discover for years or decades. The Russians and Chinese (and literally anyone else) are probably fully infiltrated into our entire system in every aspect. SO fucking incompetent and corrupt.

I love that the noose of reality is tightening around this regime's neck.

However, as they see the end they're getting more and more dangerous, because there's no way they're going to let themselves face justice at the end. I predict this summer and fall are going to be the darkest times of my lifetime, and potentially a lot of violence from the regime.

They went to literal war with their companies and the government multiple times. Look up the Coal Wars, look up the Haymarket affair, look up Matewan, look up Lucy Parsons. We have a long history of worker's rights, but since WW2 the ruling capitalists learned not to give the working class too many ideas to get too uppity.

From my understanding:

1. Like 6 ICE thugs were beating up this one guy

2. The guy was trying to reach for the mace bottle first and a thug kicked it away.

3. A single shot went off but it's too hard to tell where it came from

4. Two ICE thugs fired a bunch of rounds into the guy as others backed away and he died

We really need that pink lady's video I think. If the protestor fired first, then we're looking at the question of justified defense against ICE (which they'll obviously rule with ICE that it was a legal murder). If an ICE agent fired first, then it's straight up murder first degree.

edit: I've seen three other views, and the ICE thug in the grey sweater pulled the protestor's away first, then the ICE thug in green pulled out his gun, a shot went off (I think from this guy), then the other ICE thugs got scared and started blindly shooting. This was a straight up murder.
