US education

Stupidity is a mystery. No one has ever observed it or heard it or felt it. We can see and hear and feel only what stupidity does. We know it makes people say strange things, make poor decisions, and ignore obvious facts. But we cannot say what stupidity is like.

We cannot even say where stupidity comes from. Some say it might stem from ignorance or misinformation. Others think that social influences or emotional bias produce some of it. All everyone knows is that stupidity seems to be everywhere and that there are many ways for it to surface.

Anon saves up

Why would one need to save up vacation days to take a "full paycheck" off? That is one month, so 20 working days? 20 working days should be very common mount of available vacation days per year (at least in EU)?

Germany already told its workers to ditch four-day weeks and work-life balance—now the government wants to cut their pay for calling in sick too

Change to what? The current situation looks like this:

  • The conservatives (CDU) are currently in charge on an anti-labor and no progress route
  • Socialists (SPD) are in coalition with conservatives and do not oppose
  • Ecologists (Grüne) are hated with only 14%
  • Communists (Linke) are barely visible these days (10%) because of internal conflicts
  • Fascists (AfD) are leading in election researches

This doesn't look good in any way. The conservatives know very well that no matter what they do, they will be in the next government...
