Therefore everyone should have an entire season's worth of paid time off to take as much time for themselves as possible with no reduction in pay.

Keep on keeping on, friend. I'm proud of your progress!

What kind of hobbies do you enjoy? I like Gunpla, cross stitch, and Beyblade. Maybe try to find some people who share common interests.

You've got this. One day at a time. You've already had 90 days. What's 10 more?

How's your week been? Honest answers

Really shit. I've been struggling for weeks with awful depression. I'm not sure what caused it. Might need to up my meds. I don't like me and wish I could be someone else.

I started creative writing again, a gritty Cyberpunk noir / sapphic romance / thriller set in 2062. I've loved the games over the years, so it's been fun getting into the history between Cyberpunk Red and 2077.

I want to feel more than self loathing. I'm struggling with weight loss and hate how I look in the mirror. I'm getting too old too fast and looking at the next half of my life existing as a person I don't want to be.

On my scale of +3 (best day) to -3 (worst day), most days have been -2 to -3 with occasional, brief rises to 0 or +1, only to fall right back down. I want to get of Mr. Bone's Wild Ride.

I'm with you on that one. I'm still grappling with attempting to be their good son but also trying to accept myself for who I am right now.

Good luck, my Fedifriend. Take things one step at a time. You aren't alone.

Stay on top

My dad used to be addicted to playing chess. We played together frequently for years. I was never very good at it.

I won against my dad twice out of hundreds of games played. I honestly don't know how, but I was proud of myself for years.

I haven't played chess is well over 20 years at this point. I'm just completely disinterested in it.

Tl;Dr, I'm in this picture and don't like it.

Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk series actually started in 1988 with the first version of the TRRPG set in 2013. Arasaka was around then. Armatech-Luccessi International, which became Militech after rebranding, was a corpo in 2013, just in a different capacity at the time.

In 1990's Cyberpunk 2020, set in 2020, both corpos had been fully established as very powerful, separate entities.

So, Mike's seen this coming for a while. There are so many parallels from our current timeline and the fictional one in the game, it's scary...

Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?

Last week or so I picked up Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty for $45 during the Steam Summer Sale. I've only just started Act 2 and I'm loving it.

I had played it a tiny bit on PS5, I borrowed a friend's copy, but it was the PS4 version so it was relatively awful. The PC version after all the bug fixes and on a more powerful computer make a huge difference.

Now if I could only find Johnny's pistol, man... I'm having so much fun.
