LOL at how many people in the comments are unironically doing their best impression of the "now is not the time" sheep.

‘Pure arrogance’: anger in Finland as Google illegally fells 250,000 trees for datacentre
Last week, Google’s Finland country manager, Antti Järvinen, apologised for the forest clearings but claimed the company had acted “on the best understanding we had of the legislation at the time”.
That understanding being "it's more profitable to just do it and pay the fine"

financial misconduct
It's always a grift. Time and time again all over the world, the far right are fuelled not from true belief in their bullshit but from the realization they can make bank by peddling hatred.

You do realize that being obnoxious to people who don't share your support of violence as a teaching method, undermines your whole position? It makes you sound like one of those "I was spanked and I turned out OK" people who did not, in fact, turn out OK.

The first line was broadly right. But you blundered on the second, especially by phrasing it in a condescending way, because how many figures you should quote to depends on more context than just how many figures the input was quoted to.

You're right to call me out on that! Proofreading is an important part of authorship—I should have removed that passage before sending it!
Is there anything else I can help you with?

No, but they're devoting time and energy to being publicly unpleasant about it, to the point of being outright obnoxious and hostile towards people who defend it.

what's to work out? just provide a phone number and city as your address, and one day someone will call you and mutter something unintelligible and you say "TELEGRAM... TELEGRAM" and then they telegram you to ask where you are and you send your location and then they show up with your grand piano on the back of their moto and ask for a mystery extra delivery fee.

yeah. I foolishly thought that if I booked the hotel a hundred metres from where I'd be working, I wouldn't need a car. Nope.
Also something about the way the cops carry themselves make you feel less safe to see them, rather than more safe. And for a "land of the free" there seems to be so many rules and warnings absolutely everywhere just waiting to trip you up.
I'm reluctant to name individual incidents because the dynamic of forum posts suggests that some smartass will leap in to say "oh that never happens in your country?", but I can only relate my own experiences, e.g. beggars waiting at junctions going up to my car to ask for money, or a road rage guy in a huge truck that followed me many miles back to my hotel to shout at me for turning into the lane he was trying to turn into. Yeah it can happen in other places, but to me it happened in the US.
In total I've been to 10 different states, spanning a period of over a year, and concluded that the US is basically everything they accuse their enemies of being.

Tesla 'Cannot Guarantee' Roadster Reservation Holders Will Ever Get a Car
Let's say they actually did release this and it worked safely. What's the use case for being able to jump 100 feet? I can't think of anything other than to skip in front of the car in front of you in heavy traffic, or in other words, to be a colossal jackass to other road users.

I've spent time in over 30 countries, including developing and emerging countries, and the US is by far the one I felt the least safe in.

Somehow even as a stunt car it's less impressive for the fact that the amount of precision required means that the whole thing is computer-controlled anyway. If I go to see a stunt car show I want to see stunt drivers performing with their cars, not just sitting in them while an AI does everything.
