What's something that you used to consider “cheap” that you can’t afford now?

  • sponsored posts are usually drop shippers
  • free returns are usually drop shippers
  • check reviews and search for amazon or usps or post office to see if anyone mentions how they ship
  • be wary of sellers with tens of thousands of feedback

If you get drop shipped, report a problem say it’s damaged or whatever, and don’t let them send you the Amazon return - use the eBay generated label. Then they have to pay for it and returns absolutely destroy drop shippers. Then leave feedback saying they just drop ship from Amazon

bug spray that's better than DEET

I have converted to covering up and treating my clothes with permethrin. They say the bottle covers X number of garments but I don’t have to go that heavy (and I go to buggy places). It’s amazing, no nasty stuff on your skin. If you have cats read the label though.

It can be done gradually. It’s a lot of work but you’re not powerless. While you’re at it convert to an alias service so every account gets a unique email. Use your own domain and you can move email providers. I know this is a lot but it’s possible and worth it.

This is the worst. Return it and email them that you like supporting small businesses and avoid Amazon. They may tell you to pound sand, but if they hear it from more of us it may (probably not) change things.
