Steam Next Fest - February 2026 is live with tons of demos

Anyone have any standouts to suggest? The ones I'll be taking for a spin are:

REPLACED - Long-awaited with visually striking pixel art, revealed on a big publisher stage

Esoteric Ebb - Tabletop-inspired CRPG that looks great

Alabaster Dawn - New game from the CrossCode dev

Vampire Crawlers - New game from the Vampire Survivors dev

inKONBINI - Actually already went through this one last time and found the short chill experience fairly engaging

What’s the first book you remember loving?

Redwall by Brian Jacques. Introduced me to so many things like the fantasy genre, multi-book series, deep worldbuilding, archetypal races and probably way more. The food descriptions also stand out in my memory.

Haven't gone back to see how it stands up but I highly recommend it for kids whose reading level is improving and want to move up a tier in length/difficulty.

Jon Stewart on presidential runs and why there's hope for America

Elections have always been popularity contests, what are you even talking about? It's about finding a prominent figure that has a strong, and hopefully benign, vision for the country and to raise that person as a figurehead.

That they come from pop culture in the US now is just a reflection of the collapse of their civic space. You still need to find a viable path to victory, and wishing we were in a different era will only prevent adaptation to the new reality.
