They still don't get it

Reply in thread

He is trolling Trump and his supporters by tweeting like trump. Cracker barrel is a chain that caters to more senior citizens. it has a very old school, very iconic logo that defied all trends in design for the last 50 years. They tried to change it, got a huge backlash, so they cancelled the change, Trump obviously claimed this as a personal victory, so Newsom did the same, and some people apparently can't detect trolling.

Second degree cousins is not that close though. If every generation has three children, that's 27 persons. I thinks that for most of human history excluding second degree cousins from the acceptable partners pool would have been impossible. Communities were not that big.

Intel breaks silence on 13th and 14th-gen Raptor Lake desktop CPU instability issues

"Gamers Nexus, on the other hand, thinks the issue is more deep rooted and originates from a foundry-level fault."

  • The GN piece makes it very clear that this claim is not definitely true but is a line of inquiry.
  • Intel statement does not definitely exclude this hypothesis, the flawed CPU might need the lower voltage to work around the flaw.
  • The obvious question this article does not address is what will be the performance hit for the patched parts?

That's a bit annoying to see GN so grossly misquoted when Steve spends half the run time of the video explaining that they are not sure of anything at this point.

... and you feel nothing.

Elon told you that this car will win any argument with another car. If a car full of teen showed you disrespect you should track them and ram them at high speed with your powerful torque. See their crummy car be flattened by your invincible steel battleship. You are the elite, the king of the road, don't you dare forget it or everything falls apart.

Own your own fucking responsibility

And this figure is bullshit, streaming is not a very energy intensive activity. It's so much bullshit that the original estimate mixed up bit and bytes giving a 8x overestimation.

This IEA estimation place the final figure at around 100m of driving, and that is even less if your local grid has a low carbon footprint. And they conclude that in most cases the actual footprint comes from the viewing device itself.

Datacenter energy use is concerning but it's not because of streaming itself.

Looks like it's probably fake, the only source of this claim is some tweet from a random account. I couldn't find anything relevant after last spring, but I suppose the divorce is still not judged. At the time she claimed she was confident she would get her fair share.

In France, doing this at this scale without paying any taxes would probably be very illegal.

"lait" not "lair" but that's look like an autocorrect mistake. The correct phrase would be close : "j'ai du lait sur le feu".

I never worked in a kitchen, but an announcement would probably just be : "lait sur le feu".

And last thing, the expression as more to do with watching closely than being busy. Watch something like milk on the stove.

*Permanently Deleted*

Because the networks did not respect the production seasons when broadcasting. Production seasons are designedbby show creators to be a cohesive whole, with an order. It makes sense to go back to this when releasing DVDs and not stick with random broadcast seasons.

Yes, it's Bally Bagayoko. In France "socialist" is associated with "socialist party" which is center left. Bagayoko is "La France Insoumise" (Unyielding France) which is a lot more leftist, so he would probably not like this adjective very much even if it might apply in a US context.

Lenovo has removed its iconic TrackPoint nub from new ThinkPad laptops | PCWorld

Reply in thread

Used one for a few years and I loved it:

  • it's precise, you can really aim small UI elements
  • It is paired with actual buttons, index on the nub and thumb on the buttons, so no weird gestures to right click
  • It is very quick to switch from keyboard to mouse, your hands nearly don't move

But, there's no mouse wheel or scroll gesture and maintaining pressure on the nub is maybe more tiring than a trackpad.
