That's because a canceled stop does not count for the "delayed" statistic, which they optimize for. It's a great example of how a metric becoming a goal makes it a terrible metric!

Afaik that's a myth. People of all classes, always washed themselves and tried their best not to smell. Especially in the middle ages where it was widely believed that bad smells transmit disease.

"criminal" is not an exclusive identity, it's just a label for someone who happens to have committed a crime. You can be a criminal and a worthy part of society at the same time. Killing people almost always causes more misery than it removes.

How solar panels generate electricity

I know this is supposed to be a joke, but it's important to understand how it really works:

  • particles from the sun hit the solar panel
  • the panel accelerates those particles, which creates fissile material
  • the fissile material is the used in a traditional nuclear reactor
  • the nuclear reaction finally heats water
