How do middle aged family men handle it?

As others have stated: lose the 60 hour work week. That was insane when you were young and crazier as you get older. In 20 years the only people who remember your effort for your boss, are your children because you were never there for them.

An advice from my father in law that always stayed with me: if you can, try to find a job far enough to enable you to flip the mental switch from employee to house father and back, but nearby enough to not waste time commuting. He used to need 30 minutes for that. I need a 15 minute bicycle ride.

Also: long walks, running in the weekends and a few beers every night. Not proud of the latter.

Rutte says some NATO allies failed US test

This is the guy under whose 'leadership', Dutch politics turned into a toxic cesspool. Education has worsened, the housing market has crashed, environmental problems were not solved and his party made sure that the energy infrastructure was not kept up properly, so that the citizens now pay for a hastened upgrade of said infrastructure. He has claimed to have no vision and is a compulsive liar with a very selective memory. I have not even touched all the debacles he facilitated.

This guy is now the boss of NATO and calls Trump 'daddy'. He is a fucking disgrace. I am ashamed to be from the same country as this piece of shit.

Trump said Iran was 'decimated.' Then an American F-15E fighter jet was shot down.

...Donald Trump told...

So it was not true then.

decimated

In the literal sense, that would mean a 10% reduction of fighting capacity. Nothing to sneeze at, but still pretty capable of fighting defending, I would say.

So a few airplanes were lost and/or damaged. I read some statistics of the Vietnam war that thousands of planes were lost. It's part of being in a war, especially when you are the agressor.

harrowing incidents

Tell that to the Iranian civilians.

007 Goldfinger is very overrated.

I would like to post an actual unpopular opinion: the James Bond franchise died along with the cold war, both because the Enemy (tm) disapeeared and because it got turned into a very loud commercial for whoever had the money (seriously? James Bond drinking fucking Heineken?).

For the time being, I have no opinion on whether I agree with OP.

Is there music I haven't heard because I only speak English?

Hmmm.. I know that the sub is called 'no stupid questions', but if you only listen to English music, you will by definition not hear any music that is not in English. So that question answers itself basically.

But trying to be less pedantic: which music genres do you like? Try finding music in those genres that are not in English and see for yourself. I have found some nordic folk music that I love, as well as Spanish Ska music. I do not understand a word of them, but I love the music anyway.

If WWIII broke out tomorrow do you honestly believe america would win?

Which America are you referring to? North, meso, or south?

In case you are referring to the United States of, they are losing allies and partners fast. They would have to fight wars on many fronts and that never ends well.

Furthermore, they are moving towards a civil war, so one of their fronts will be on their own soil.

Their arrogance and entitlement will prolong the war, but in the end, they'll lose.

Adult "child"

As I said I am 33. I still live at home. I get along very well with my parents, and being here helps them out tremendously when it comes to taking care of my mentally handicapped brother. I work, pay for everything I have (including car, phone, insurance, etc,) and help out with projects around the house.

Speaking from a Western Europe standpoint: you sound like a very mature person to me. Do not let others judge you for your life choices, as that would only ruin your happiness. You be you.
