This makes sense. There's the hordes posting nonsense about AI, but that's only one demographic using LinkedIn. Another big group is like you, trying to get a new job after getting laid off. While your feed is almost exclusively the former, the latter may still respond to polls.

I didn't have sterile saline on hand, so I've been rinsing it with Veterycin instead. Looking closer at the dark patch in the front, I've realized that it looks kind of leathery, and it's actually not touching the wound, but kind of bridging across it without touching it. This leads me to believe it's a dried out skin flap from the edge of the original injury.

I agree it's probably about time to see a professional.

I'm not super tuned into the Norwegian tech market anymore, but the solitude and nature part should be very feasible. Even Norwegian cities are small and close to nature.

I couldn't easily narrow it down more, because some of these positions hardly mention software, and the ones which do use wildly inconsistent words for it.

I came across the English version of Knausgård's "Min Kamp" yesterday, and it was translated as "my struggle" as well. In that context "struggle" made sense.

I'm starting to think "fighting for women is a class struggle" makes the most sense, but it certainly isn't nearly as catchy.

It feels like "trans rights are human rights" has a similar vibe with a different demographic, but we want more than just rights for women.

Yeah, German speakers tend to learn Norwegian really fast, and with virtually no accent. I've met people who could be mistaken for a native speaker in six months. The only people who have an easier time are the Dutch.

You'd think the Swedish and Danish would have an easier time, and they certainly understand it easier, but they always end up with a heavy accent. A lot of them simply keep speaking their own language since the Norwegians understand most of it.

I beg to differ. People who start with that level of aggression combined with that lack of actual content rarely bring solutions to the table.

I'm all for reducing consumption (pretty easy for me, because I hate buying things), but people still need things from time to time. I'm also all for judging a company by their values, but I would like to point out that you're the first one to mention size.

The original post was talking about preferring local business, which is often correlated with size but sometimes not. The comment I responded to was suggesting local business be rejected by virtue of being a business, which I didn't find particularly helpful without a suggestion for alternatives.
