How come people are stupid nowadays? Especially on social media
Keep in mind that the algorithms will push the most engaging content to you, so you'll see stuff that pisses people off the most. It's literally upvoting troll accounts automatically.
Anyway, whenever you encounter an actual account who is posting stupid false narratives, the best way isn't to start arguing or throw links to true explanations and such.
Instead, simply ask them "why do you believe that stupid shit?" and leave them to either investigate the matter themselves, thereby hopefully teaching them something, or let them back out with the typical non-answer like "do your own research" which itself undermines whatever they just said.

Yeah, those don't work well with Outlook. I get an e-mail from Microsoft telling me to login to the web version only to see that someone put a 👍 on my e-mail. It completely defies the purpose.
Microsoft really knows how to keep office workers occupied doing nothing at all.

Probably missed calls. It'll keep showing a notification bubble in both activity and calls until you bother clicking the missed call as if that makes any difference or sense to anyone or anything but the notification counter.

Are friends just a form of casual entertainment?
I cut out a lot of the social stuff, like going to a cafe or watching a movie with friends just for passing time. With a family I don't have time for that as much.
However a small group of us still get together when one arranges something more interesting, like hikes etc. to sort of give it a purpose other than just hanging out.
One of them is really good at it. Every time we show up at his place he always has some project going where he needs an extra hand to build something. More often than not we end up fixing his shit all day long without ever getting to the bowling alley or whatever the plan was. We enjoy doing these things together that actually matter more than just socializing for the fuck of it.
Try it maybe. You'll soon learn who you can rely on and work with.
We stopped inviting one guy. He constantly moaned about being put to work (and wasn't very good at it either). He was more interested in going out and using the group to cover for his own shenanigans.
The remaining group knows what's up. If shit ever hits the fan, these are the guys I'd invite into my doomsday fortress.

‘The World Is Watching’: Top Economist Rips Newsom for Working to Tank Billionaire Wealth Tax

Norway raised their wealth tax recently, despite the cries from rich people "being forced" to leave.
Some did in fact leave because of it.
But the tax revenue from the ones that remained more than made up for the lack of contributions from the ones leaving.
One news outlet described it as "turning a trickle into a stream".
Fuck the petty cash trickles from the ones who don't want to be here. Let them leave. They can go not pay their tax elsewhere. See how that works out for Texas or wherever.

Reply in thread

Holy shit, his age is showing. They did a rehearsed countdown 3-2-1 for him to sit down with aid from the guy next to him.
Now I'm not going to blame an old guy for needing help to sit down. But I am going to blame his voters for electing an elderly person into a position he can obviously not fulfill. What the hell. This is discraceful.

USA: Slate's New Electric Truck Will Cost Slightly More Than $24,950

The Toyoya Hilux EV is available in most parts of the world, except USA, because of tariffs.
It's not particularly interesting though. The range is short and reviews aren't too positive. I think Toyoya needs to offer something more than a pickup shaped SUV to get a foot down in that market.

hvepsebo i skuret
Reply in thread

Why have sad conversations when you can have "hey boss I think you suck and I quit! 😄😄"
