Except instead of pies, bowling balls. Or anvils.

Facing low morale after Russia’s defeat by Japan in 1905, the crew of the battleship Potemkin famously mutinied after being supplied with rotten food.
Definitely nothing in modern times to compare that to

New research finds San Andreas Fault is slipping faster than previously thought
Slipping faster is good. That means it’s releasing the tension before it builds up and snaps into place. It’s the big snap that causes a big quake.

something to be reinvented
The post office is not supposed to be a business
Stop treating it like a business
It’s a government provided service (gasp, a social service!) so citizens can communicate.
No wonder they want to take it away from us.

The Lesser Evil
Dems are beholden to billionaires. They just don’t want to be as obvious as Republicans.
It’s not liberals versus conservatives.
It’s the rich versus the rest.
There’s a lot more of us than there are of them.

Robert De Niro Calls Stephen Miller a ‘Nazi’ In Wild MSNBC Rant: Trump’s ‘Goebbels’ Should Be ‘Ashamed!’
Without the complicit media spin, the headline should be closer to: “Robert De Nero has the courage to speak the truth against the kingpin of an increasingly fascist American regime, more of us should stand up with him”

Target Warns That If Its AI Shopping Agent Makes an Expensive Mistake, You'll Have to Pay for It
If you’re dumb enough to trust the AI agent at all, but especially one that is provided, owned, and operated by the capitalist company that you’re shopping at and you expect it to act in your best interest, that’s a special kind of stupid.

A Crazy Scandal with a Competent Press, Maybe
Reply in thread
I’m sure it seems like that from the outside. There’s so many of us inside that are fully sick of this, but we also all feel helpless for a number of reasons.
Nobody wants to be alone in making the first move of outward revolution.
None of us can afford to take a week off, much less the foreseeable future off to plan and execute any kind of meaningful action.
Once we lose our job from participating in said action, we don’t have healthcare anymore.
We’ve got to be so far past the point of no return that the status quo can’t continue before most people will be able to do anything.
Combine that with the press hiding most of this from the people, and people still wanting to hold out hope for…something…and you’re where we are at.
I’m crossing my fingers that the midterms (or lack thereof) will be the turning point.
