Sci-fi & fantasy worldbuilding

its the difference between hard sci-fi/strict rule fantasy and 'science fantasy'

Magic can have strict rules, or it can be hand wavy. And sci-fi can use the exact same logic of "oh, theres a highly advanced tech that lets us overcome quantum physics limitations you know of"

How do Atheists raise their kids

One of the criticisms of being raised in a specific faith is that the children do not choose their faith, they are already in it.

So being raised by an atheist and then choosing a religion would carry more weight and meaning because it was a conscious decision made deliberately by that person.

Insanity

Its only the same if you strictly consider 'the time I stand in this line'.

Its different because everyone behind her loses a feeling of progress from moving up, and it increases the queue length (at least visually) which can impact other people's decision on which queue to join which, of course can impact the other queues.

To think the way the image suggests is to be inconsiderate to others around you.

How come Mark Wahlberg got a pass for being the crap out of a Vietnamese guy. But Kevin Spacey, Bill Cosby, Weinstein, do not get a pass? Beside the sexual aspect what is the difference?

Wahlberg was arrested, charged, and served time (albeit a very little), also his main offense occurred in 1988. Spacey and Weinstein were continuing to offend, and along with Cosby were serial offenders.

So you have a Wahlberg who was a piece of shit as a youth and then (as far as we know) corrected himself and remained hate-crime/assault free for going on nearly 40 years now vs rapists who were active until they were publicly outed.

Many pieces of film/TV have scenes where a guy has been mortally wounded doing something for the greater good and then bleeds out in a scene like this. It's like a melancholic righteous death
