Pull those bootstraps a little harder.
Elon musk would be in jail and broke by now if the SEC could do its job

Probably one of the top 10 Trump moments so far from the Oval Office “ we are going to make less capable aircraft for our allies. In case they aren’t our allies anymore in the future you never know.”

Democats filibuster medicaid cuts for 12 hours live.
Reply in thread
Democrat Cory Booker's marathon Senate floor speech, in which he is largely criticizing the Trump administration's policies and spending cuts, has just passed the 12-hour mark.
The U.S. Senator from New Jersey has held the floor since about 7 p.m. ET on Monday, pausing only to take questions—and a breath—from Democrat allies.
He has so far largely targeted spending cuts, including efforts to dismantle the Department of Education, and the need for greater bipartizanship in Congress.
The 55-year-old has vowed to keep going "as long as I am physically able."
Booker's speech is not a filibuster because it is not blocking legislation or a nomination.
The New Jesey Senator is part of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's campaign strategy to focus on kitchen-table issues, including federal spending cuts, ahead of next year's midterms.
Watch speech clips in the video above, and follow live footage and text updates below.
fil·i·bus·ter /ˈfiləˌbəstər/ noun 1. an action such as a prolonged speech that obstructs progress in a legislative assembly while not technically contravening the required procedures.

Ted Cruz asks Treasury to approve $200 billion tax cut without Congress
The most interesting part of this is the timing. 11 months since the trump admin did the largest pump and dump in human history during the great tariff terror of 2025. I was there watching markets drop 5-7% a day for a week. I was there when my accounts got major margin calls at the low. I was there when trump tweeted on truth social and the markets rose 20% in one day and almost 100% over the next 6 months.
So I know a $200 Billion capital gains tax relief package when I see it! More tax cuts for the rich. Congress has no hopes of passing it so they are hoping the president can wave his magic wand and cough up $200B

Yea I like preserving history too. I don’t like people trying to re-write history and glorify slave holders. Unfortunately, the south can’t seem to manage one without the other, so this is a good thing. I say that as someone with a deep appreciation for American architecture.
