I somewhat agree, but GTA V took over a year and a half to come to PC. I think they were still milking it.

As you said, not an issue today. Architectures are close enough today with plenty of tools to create multiple builds fairly quickly.

It's real. Rockstar loves to release on consoles first so people buy it on console first to play it early and then on PC for better graphics and modding. Leak shows the PC version working just fine so the PC players are more likely to wait for that release.

It will hurt them a bit. Videos show a PC copy running just fine. Many gamers won't buy on console first to play early and then again on PC. This is a good thing.

I'm starting to think consoles are cooked. The massive jumps in technology between console generations have turned into small incremental steps. The game quality has dropped (independent games and a few others are exceptions). PC's used to be slow to boot and load a game vs consoles and also required updates to download, but now PCs are quick and updates are mostly automatic. Consoles used to be nice to just turn on and play without thinking about all that other stuff, yet now they require downloads and updates as well. Loading times aren't much better either. Consoles used to also be very cheap compared to PCs, but now with the "next gen" being around $1000 the price difference isn't that huge anymore - especially when you factor in modular updates that can be done to a PC to cheaply extend it's life. One of the last hold outs for consoles were physical games and now they're taking that away too.

They should release consoles when there's a significant leap in hardware that devs are waiting to take advantage of. The last few console releases have been boring. Don't get me started on not only the lack of games but the lack of new types of games. Too many remakes and remasters demanding high prices.

When I can't play a new game I want to play, I'll upgrade. This varies. My last computer i7 920 with a GTX 470 lasted me for a long time -- around 9 years. I have a Ryzen 2700x with a 3060TI that I built in 2018 and added the newer GPU in 2021. I'll probably upgrade next year so around 7-8 years. Before that I had a Pentium 4, Pentium 2, Pentium 1 so those are roughly 4 years between but progress was more impactful back then.
Averaging things out -- I'd say 6-7 years between major builds.

I was the kid my friends' dads would call to fix the PC (because SOMEHOW - "A hacker put a virus on there"), before their wives got back home. Made some nice extra cash!

If she looks at the case and frees these people, it's an admission of guilt. If she doesn't do anything, she was made aware of the issue before congress and will look even worse later on.

Aren't they recognized as a terrorist group vs a government? I'm guessing legitimacy is the main issue here.
