Are you gonna be buying a Steam machine?
Not for $1500 CAD I’m not.

"It's too dangerous for us to speculate": Valve don't know if Steam Machine prices will drop in the future, after admitting that "some people are going to priced out"
That’s gonna be a no from me. If it’s not at the very least as cheap as a console, I’m out.

My girlfriend is so bad for this. She will feed the cats and then leave things out on the counter when they should be put away. And then the cats get into them. I love her, but do it right or don’t do it at all.

If WW2 is equated with Hitler, then what was going on in Japan? Was it a different war completely or was it one that just falls under the big umbrella of WW2 name?

So in the media there it mentions the US bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki but leaves out the Pearl Harbor of it all?

I have to admit that my knowledge of Japan’s involvement in WW2 is limited. Basically Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, end of war. What happened in Okinawa during the war?

Think of the dumbest person you know. Not that one. Dumber. Dumber. Yeah, that one. Now realize that ChatGPT has said “you’re absolutely right” to them no less than a half dozen times today alone.
If LLMs weren’t so damn sycophantic, I think we’d have a lot fewer problems with them. If they could be like “this could be the right answer, but I wasn’t able to verify” and “no, I don’t think what you said is right, and here are reasons why”, people would cling to them less.

do you think agi will be achieved?
Not with LLMs. AGI needs reasoning which LLMs are fundamentally incapable of.

Which two personality traits are the worst combination?
Narcissist with a victim complex. Nothing is their fault, and if it is, it affects them worse than you.

How bad is the software engineering job today?
Run. Run while you still can.
I recently lost my job because I didn’t want to use AI to write 50-100% of my code as my boss requested.
I technically can’t say I lost my job because of AI as they told me they were laying me off due to restructuring, but a week after I was laid off they were hiring for my exact same skillset with a different title and the caveat that the applicant must use AI to write code. So you do the math.
