Elon Musk salute controversy

It feels so weird to call this controversial. Doesn't that usually mean something similar to "polarising"? Who are on the poles here? Nazis, and the rest of the world?

From the wiki entry, "...interpreted by many as a Nazi or fascist" salute. It's like, yeah I guess it was interpreted by many that way, in the same way many people interpret water to be wet.

Why are the writers of this wiki entry giving so much wiggle room for Nazis? What the fuck?

I mean, to be fair, I get that this is a joke... But I look at all the shit in my flat I think 90% of this is clutter. I'm still trying to get rid of my sofa, but it's hard to do for cheap when I don't drive.

I've seen so many flats full of so many little tchotchkes and doodads and superfluous whatevers, and it sort of makes me feel that some people decorate their homes for other people - which is absolutely fine - whereas some people decorate their homes for themselves - which is also fine.

Nothing wrong with a simple life. Maybe get a stand for the fleshlight though, I feel like it would pick up dirt and dust and hair from the carpet like that. 🫡

Spotify CEO sparks backlash after social media post that claimed the cost of making "content" is "close to zero"

I literally just cancelled my membership with that shitty company yesterday! It sucks, I've used it daily for almost a decade, but I just can't really deal with my money going to such publicly malicious and stupid executives any more. They can't just not be arseholes for like two seconds.

Anyway, I need some alternative... Does anybody use anything else that they prefer? 👀🤞

Many developers leave GZDoom due to leader conflicts and fork it into UZDoom

I'm so sick of hearing about AI. I've been struggling with the concept that "authenticity" seems to be completely irrelevant to a lot of people lately. I'm a developer and have been for 10+ years at this point, and am struggling to understand why I would stay in this field.

When I get down, I start to question if there's any point in learning anything. I started up a side project with somebody I respected in a niche hobby space and have been using that to learn a new framework, but I'm rapidly feeling like it's pointless to bother learning when you can badly cobble something together with a chatbot and the managers of the world will ejaculate themselves dry about how good robots are, even when the bloody thing barely functions.

It seems that a lot of people don't give a shit if something is actually made by humans. Those same people don't seem to value the hard work it takes to make something. I feel like I'm having a hard time fitting in at the moment.
