Moment Israeli airstrike hits Gaza tower block after Hamas attack – video

Reply in thread

Because this was probably a military target.

A lot of militant groups use civilians as human shields to either completly prevent a strike or a least create bad publicity to spin their propaganda.

There were a lot of Israelis taken into Gaza by force, my guess is they are kept in the most important places to create a moral dilemma.

You either attack and kill your own civilians or let the enemy have undisturbed action.

Whales

I'm so happy I don't give a fuck about looking cool or having nice effects in a game.

The only one I ever spend more bucks than I had to is Path of Exile. And the supporter packs give you your whole worth of money spend as premium currency plus you get the usual skins, emotes and tracking tools.

I totally feel that I'm okay with buying functional stuff like inventory space if the system itself feels fair.

In 10 years and around 5000h (only game I play except tarkov for a while) in I spend 122€ so a mount for 90 bucks seems crazy.

White House under growing pressure as Democrats demand Gaza ceasefire

Reply in thread

He definitely has at least the means of applying pressure.

Completely freeze military cooperation and weapon deliveries and withdraw the Carriers they send would be possible after talks failed.

But that is not something that makes sense when you want to keep your military base in the middle east functional and regarding the vast amounts of religious people in the US it would put off parts of potential voters next year.

I think the whole aspiration of a ceasefire is just political talk so the US can say they tried their best, in the end they will support Israel in their more than questionable response to Hamas despicable provocation.

Americans: Never, EVER question again how Hitler came to power in 1933 Germany

Reply in thread

It's a black woman, sadly for some that makes it even worse.

Also watching from Europe it seemed very strange to see that biden was still first in line until it was obvious for everybody he's not fit for the job cognitively. And maybe that wasn't even the main problem. He just couldn't perform anymore and failed to present himself accordingly.

Harris felt a little like an emergency choice but it was refreshing to see someone not clearly in decline due to old age.

I would have voted for her because she's not trump, not because I think she would have been a great president.

I just don't understand how it's possible that such old fucks are the candidates and I struggle to believe that they are capable of complex decisions.

Who fucking guides them and tells them what to do and why do I have a tinfoil hat on?

Yo, german bro here. When I go by train from my village Willich to fucking Düsseldorf I lose connection 2 times, going 10 kilometers into the state capital.

My friend in Wesel can't reliably call his clients by car cause it's just a connectivity minefield around there.

Israel May Kill Every Palestinian Left in North Gaza, UN Official Warns

Reply in thread

Most probably suspect it's genocide and know they, by not speaking out, at least support it passively. But it just doesn't matter for their immediate or the near future, so nothing will happen. Thoughts and prayers...

I see two main culprits that enable Israel to eradicate the Palestinian people and their livelihood in manner and speed we see now. The US and germany. Many other western political elites seem far more divided on the topic but probably fear the backlash of speaking out.

70% of the weapons come from the US and they will never stop to supply their FOB. Democrats or republicans will veto everything and make it as hard as possible to even reach a clear global verdict on what happened and how to classify it.

Most of the remaining 30% come from germany.

Here the key argument is that Israel is worthy of unwavering support due to the historical fact of the holocaust and the inhumane acts inflicted on the Jewish population.

Scholz said recently that the security of Israel is a National interest of germany. As a german I feel this too, although for me the state of Israel and the global jewish population we did unspeakable crimes to are not necessarily the same. There are lines that can be crossed that limit my willingness of support. It's not unconditional and they crossed them. Israel crossed them, not the jews.

I also feel past and present crimes the jewish people had to endure can be used to understand why Israel is acting the way it does but it can't be a justification of their barbaric way of waging this war against Hamas.

In short, nothing will change. Sorry for the long reply, this shit really grinds my gears.

'Stop Cop City' campaigners decry state's refusal to charge Georgia troopers who shot activist 57 times

Reply in thread

Maybe a strange question but are there bad-cop murders in the US?

I mean you could find out quite easily who the shooter was and considering the quite tense situation with police brutality it doesn't seem far fetched that family or friends might want to get revenge.

Are there cases where people try to take justice into their own hands?

And why wouldn't you. I tend to not bite into the whole thing but suffer from occasional urges to do so.

Still remember that maybe 10 years ago on our way to Romania two grandpa's in a restaurant in Hajdúnánás ordered some huge chives to dip in salt with their beers.

I ordered the same 10 minutes after and both gave me a drinking salute. Still eat it in summer, amazing healthy snack.

Prerequisite to naturalization in Germany? Pledge support for Israel’s right to exist

Reply in thread

There were large pro Palestine and pro peace/ceasefire marches in germany.

Afterwards they were smeared either by pointing out that marches were organized by or with pro-hamas entities within the country.

This is indeed concerning but fails to acknowledge the various reasons people have to attend these demonstrations.

I think this approach was effective in silencing most individuals that are pro-Palestine or anti-zionist but don't want to be connected to Hamas.

Israel announces 'total' blockade on Gaza

Reply in thread

The hostages are probably one of the things keeping some areas in Gaza secure. Was a effective move to gather as many as you can, not only as bargaining chips but strategically.

Hamaz will use them as human shields in important positions, Isreal gives little fucks about dead Palestinians, thing changes when it's your own civilians you bomb.

They should not give them back if they want to be able to operate a little further and prepare for a possible ground assault by Israel.

That's what their soldiers are more effective in, no sense in getting bombed without aa.

Well, the "hoovah" is a marvel of human evolution. I'm just disappointed that they don't make them like they used to.

We had a middleclass Miele vacuum cleaner that worked like a beast for 10 years. Finally had to admit that retirement was overdue for the dusty fellow.

I have tried new models by Miele, sebo and another brand, all are considerably weaker and fail to get rid of cat hair in short carpets. If someone could help me find a solid one, open for ideas!
