Can you think of any now?

I think the biggest one that was drilled into us constantly, especially about WW2 and Nazis was

“ Those Who Cannot Remember the Past Are Condemned To Repeat It”

This was a load of shit as evidenced by what is going on in the USA right now and other parts of the world. The real lesson should have been to push back the second a nazi takes an inch as they will take more if you play the nice and tolerate. Not everyone is well intentioned.

That is why centralized platforms, especially powerful ones, are sitting ducks waiting to become even more corrupt. Why more people are not leaving centralized services is a crime against humanity as it is clear that supporting theme means society suffers.

European Union finds PornHub, Stripchat, XNXX and XVideos in breach of the Digital Services Act for allowing minors to access their services

The real crime here is while the EU is trying every angle to error your privacy, that time is not being spent on real issues. You are being sold out by the very people put into positions of power to serve you. If the data supported their goals, I would be there with them, but the data is very clear on the matter and the it indicates we are in for big issues with all these IDs being stored by centralized targets.

A modest proposal

I am living in Vietnam right now, and this is actually a common item to be strapped to the back of a motor bike out for delivery. The tanks here are 1/3 taller with the valve sticking out as the tank is sideways on the bike back seat behind the driver. Always makes me cringe when I see it especially with how unsafe drivers are here.

YSK: A real American Civil war will NOT be like Battlefield or COD.

Americans are sadly locked into the path of violence as the other path will force them to face their systemic racism, and corporate idolization which is clearly not going to happen.

It took Nicole Good to be face shot before people really started to react despite 4 other similar events with non white females and I am constantly shocked how many Americans defend corporations that are literally exploiting them. America is cooked unfortunately as like most humans, myself included, we tend to become blind with power.

China's banned memory-maker CXMT unveils surprising new chipmaking capabilities despite crushing US export restrictions — DDR5-8000 and LPDDR5X-10667 displayed

Despite some seeing my doubts as anti China, I am more feeling cautious as there has been a history of over promising and under delivering. I hope this changes as the world really does need a serious competitor as the USA is in a capitalist death spiral at the moment and it would be nice to have other options. I hope Europe too can step it up too as it will suck if we end up in a situation where China or any single nation is once again the sole provider of anything required for the modern age. Competition is healthy or we end up with too much power on one place and that never ends well even for those with the power.

Worth looking

Pathological Demand Avoidance is such a passive aggressive term. I find most in the spectrum happily follow a leader provided they are logical, compassionate, considerate and looking for win wins. If the leader is an egotistical boss who sees you as less worthy than them and is demanding you do work that makes no sense and is even perhaps harmful or exploitative, than yeah, I am going to avoidant and not compliant. Wish more were PDA as we would not end up with tyrant leaders.

YouTube removes pro-Iran channel producing anti-Trump videos

I have not only de-googled myself, but I have de-Americaned too Moved all my online business to European equivalents. It has been eye opening as not only are the European equivalents comparable, but they had surprise extras that saved me money overall. That and OMG they are so much easier to setup and navigate as I am not wading through offers, upgrades, pop ups and dark patterns all over the dang place. It is like I have exited an abusive relationship with America that I did not even realize was as bad as it was. I love America, but I cannot be a part of funding their fascism.

Protests erupt at Rockstar Games offices accusing GTA 6 developers of “Union Busting”

Am I the only one who is already utterly bored of GTA in America? I know this is where the series is based, but I am so over my interest of that country and would love to see a GTA in a new country. GTA Bangkok would be amazing for instance.

In the meantime, Rockstar better get it together and treat their employees with respect and stop being greedy assholes. Either way, I am not buying GTA 6.

Protestation

It is not just Capitalism…is is centralization in all its forms. Too much power in the hands of the few always leads to poor outcomes for the many. This is bigger than Capitalism.
