Usually distros will offer a single version on their repo, but Blender is best used with multiple (portable) versions. Of course if you're just starting out, simply pick the latest version (5.2).
I had to stay on 3.6LTS for two years for film production, in parallel I did use more recent versions for various side projects.
You can also have different user settings for each version so I really advise using the good ol tarball.

For reference, this is typically called Brandolini's law
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandolini%27s_law
I find that dumping a false factoid that is not irrefutable without considerable work is a common tool of capitalists/fascists, just like offloading labor onto masses of workers while taking credit for said work is their way of alienating entire societies
In both cases they're having other people do the work. Fascists are lazy and irresponsible

Over here men shake hands but not women, it's just how things are (unless in a professional setting). So you just say hi from a distance or wave your hand. I hate it but I can't overturn a whole cultural standard by myself.

Yep I learnt that the hard way last year, when I grilled something (can't remember what it was, maybe bouchons or noodles) and added chili paste to the pan.
I rendered the entire house uninhabitable for the night. My cats woke up and fled. My wife opened all windows but it was too late; it seemed like the spice had been baked into the walls. No ventilation could get rid of it. The upstairs neighbours complained.

Finland hosts the air guitar world championships

yea I am on the fence actually..., I do support any and all forms of expression, you know, as long as it doesn't hurt anybody... if you're having fun then good on you.
So why is this air guitar thing bothering me so much? I feel like, if these folk went the extra mile and actually put a guitar in their hands, they would gain access to a wonderful world, and I'm not sure what is stopping them.
I'm not sure any of them are musicians, because I don't see what the point would be, if they were musicians they would just play music. but please correct me if I'm wrong.
If you're doing air guitar, surely you like music right? and you like guitar? You like the theatrics of shredding, you like concerts, you like the scene in general.
Well, play guitar then. It's hard to explain to a non-musician but playing music is an unspeakable joy. Don't be afraid of being bad- it's inevitable, you're going to be at least somewhat bad for some time before getting any good. But it's worth it.
