'Andrew Tate phenomena' surges in schools - with boys refusing to talk to female teacher

Every teacher I hear from (US) these days basically says the newest generation coming up is completely screwed. Unreal levels of behavioral issues that are not being addressed at home. Complete lack of engagement with the lesson plan, unfinished assignments all over. They need to curve grades left and right just to get the majority of the class to pass. The parents are more emboldened than ever to make the teachers' lives hell over things they know nothing about and refuse to take responsibility for.

It's easy to brush it off as the standard generational nose-thumbing...but this seems different. Something is really breaking down and I think social media is at the center of it.

Evangelical church urges Trump admin to 'execute' LGBTQ Americans

When asked to respond to Falco's inflammatory remarks, the church said in a statement that the preacher was "only calling for the death penalty and suicide for the actual sodomites (homosexuals). The Bible teaches that those people are worthy of death. They are supposed to be executed by the government. We are not to take the law into our own hands."

This is the "reserved" and "compromise" position in their eyes.

I'm pretty sure competent militaries store their munitions in networks of dozens if not hundreds of earthen bunkers per site, specifically so shit like this can't happen.

264 kilotons is a fuckload of bombs.

New Bill Would Make All Pornography a Federal Crime in the U.S.

“Obscenity isn’t protected by the First Amendment, but hazy and unenforceable legal definitions have allowed extreme pornography to saturate American society and reach countless children,” Lee said in a press release. “Our bill updates the legal definition of obscenity for the internet age so this content can be taken down and its peddlers prosecuted.”

My memory is a bit hazy, but I think this phrasing is taken almost verbatim from Project 2025.

ICE agents "raided" Newark business, detained multiple people, mayor says

The statement continued "Newark will not stand by idly while people are unlawfully terrorized."

Unless this means that the mayor and police chief agree to deploy Newark Police to physically stop and detain ICE agents, knowing damn well that a confrontation could end in a bloodbath, that is exactly what they will do.

People need to get it through their heads that we are entering a period of federal lawlessness. They're hoping you only have the balls to challenge them in court where they can tie things up for months or years while they do whatever they want and consolidate even more power, setting progressively darker precedents.
