Is it just me or i feel life is getting more difficult these days?

Yeah companies used to pretend to please customers and now they don’t even pretend.

The staff are minimum wage and don’t care because it’s a big corporation so you can’t get good service.

The price is high because the shareholders must be kept happy so you pay over the OSA Odds.

Corners were cut in several places making the product to please the shareholders too and the workers manufacturing got minimum wage in the factory wherever it was located and have zero interest in making good products as a result.

Basically capitalism ate itself

Remote workers report the highest well-being in study of 7,700 employees: while those who worked entirely onsite reported the lowest.

It’s more the canteen and coffee shops onsite I think.

Our place guarantees minimum revenue to the canteen.

The company has to pay extra if the staff aren’t there.

Then there’s all the other businesses in the area. I imagine they come under pressure from local government to bring workers back to save those businesses

How do you talk yourself into doing things you know are good for you but you really don't wanna do?

Don’t focus on the task, focus on step one in accomplishing the task and do that as it’s probably small

E.g

put on my running shoes and clothes instead of thinking of going for a run

Log on to the server instead of debugging the application logs

Pick up the weight instead of doing 3 sets

Focusing on the small first step instead of the daunting big task makes it easier to get started
