We should give names to heat waves like we give names to hurricanes.
Unless we name them more "kiki" and less "bouba" then we'll have the same issue with people not taking them seriously.
Hurricane "Katrina" sounds like an annoying neighbor, but Hurricane "Windsmasher" is easier to explain how to lose a whole coastline.
I dub the current one: Heatwave "Pedofire" in honor of the ones who deny it's a problem.

It's so bright it hurts...
Getting interrupted "real quick" while I'm in the zone.
To not understate, everyone hates that, yes, but I am actively done for the day. I don't want to talk to anyone anymore, I lose my appetite, I don't want to play my games, I don't want to finish work.
I'm done, and the task that I was doing is at an extreme risk of never being completed ever again.
I make my space to be "in the zone" with so much effort, don't break it, it's sacred to me.
Imagine watching a magical 3 hour movie and 2 hours in somebody cuts the power, and if you want to watch it again you have to start from the beginning

Exactly. I mean, I know it's a first world problem but I suffer being both a completionist and neurodivergent.

I know the post is a joke but it's more like "somebody owns a helicopter rental business and they're bitching about repairs on helicopters they themselves don't pilot so they themselves aren't in danger"

"Good. I was too lazy to tick one box in settings while being lazy at work. Now I can be a lazy prude and put more time into this comment than it would have taken to fix the problem on my own without blasting on the internet that I'm negligent and incompetent."
I fixed your comment, no worries.

Nah fam, racists are still racists. Religious oppression is definitely bad, but in the Skyrim scenario your choices are terrible. Support the Empire and oppress a religion, or support the Stormcloaks and condone the abuse and slavery of 3+ races.
I won't choose religious persecution willingly, but I will always choose NOT putting abusive racists in power.

Real men cry

The masculine part is that a man saw a need that a member of his group had, a need for support and empathy, and he provided it despite the possible cost to his own ego.
A toxic male builds himself up, a real man builds up his community. A toxic male displays his strength for show, a real man uses his strength to protect those weaker than them.
Fixing isn't masculine, women can fix things and not be manly. Sports aren't masculine, women play sports for fun and competition

New No Man's Sky Update
So many haters and haters who pretend they are indifferent. It's just like people who made fun of Rockband "because it wasn't real instruments" and Minecraft because "its just legos and looks weird."
It's a game, if you don't like it, don't play.
This thing came out in 2016 and for 10 years they've been pouring their love into it and making something beautiful and fun for those who just click with it.
This world sucks, don't be another sucky part of it, have some whimsy. Or better yet, go somewhere you find happiness and share that with others who like that thing you like.

It's not the least Iron thing to say. Even he said "Azula is crazy, and she needs to go down."
Maybe not kill, but definitely take down and away from wider society to live in a dark, small place.

My online friend lists have been through the chopping block recently, a good society must have intolerance for the intolerant and devious.
There's zero excuse for an adult to sexually assault a child, or to have known and kept the secret.

Talk, and listen. Say out loud the things that seem obvious.
If they ask "Are you mad at me?" tell them the truth. "I'm not, but we can talk and I can reassure you if you want"
They went 10-20 years being shut down, not allowed to say the truth, or having the truth be twisted and weaponized.
Imagine being lightly bitten by a dog once a month for 15 years, and suddenly you go out into the world and see a pitbull for the first time. It doesn't matter if he's the cuddliest, happiest, well trained boy, you're going to be nervous when he gets up from his bed to go drink water.
In time, and with support and patience, people can learn not to be afraid every time the dog moves.

For the same superficial reason some men demand women be skinny or submissive.
Some people are vapid, regardless of gender, most people roll their eyes at them.

Gemini: Your observation is correct! Steel is heavier than feathers so a kilogram of steel is heavier than 20 bricks of feathers. They both weigh the same.
