I mean, duh.

But cooked by Dracula? Is he better than Gordon Ramsay?

ofc he is better. an immortal is bound to pick up cooking as a hobby interest . over such a long time you master the craft surely.

I like to believe Dracula went out to take care of the crops and fed the animals. Possibly with a sun hat because of his illness.

I am also horrified to discover there are no servants to cook dinner.

Didn't he knew by that time that there were also other creatures in the castle? And IIRC correctly by that time J was getting weaker, so I thought he thought he was hipnotised to think he ate, while in reality he was fasting.

I mean, he was a wealthy immortal who had lived for hundreds of years who didn't really sleep right?

I bet he cooked some amazing food effortlessly and had plenty of time to do it.

Werent there at least two other vampires living in the castle? Maybe Mrs Dracula cooked for him and when Johnathan stopped eating the meals she got angry which explains why she tried to eat him. Idk its been a while since I read the book.
