Perfect steak. Could use it in so many things, besides eating it by itself, and it'd save me so much and majorly upgrade my meals.

That's a good one, I'd have steak and rice every other night

Bbq brisket. Iโ€™m not going to go through the whole process of smoking for several hours.

Oh absolutely, I might die in 6 months but during that time I would do a lot of living.

Ah, yes, the Totino's Party Pizza. Truly a staple of the saddest party ever. It isn't a depressed pity party without Totino's.

I have 3 in the freezer right now.

Totino's Part?

How many parts did Totino have anyways?

2

LOL, couldn't help it!

Have a good night, and enjoy your pizza, in no particular order. ๐Ÿ•

2

This is the way I was going. Beans, rice, and cheese burritos, with plenty of veggies and salsa to round things out. Pretty wholesome, lots of nutrients, complete protein. You'd never starve. Enchiladas are an excellent variation.

2

A nice hearty soup. Can basically travel the world because it can feed you and hydrate you when you cannot find water or sustenance. And I think it is healthy enough to not kill you if you survived on it for the last 3 months, might be wrong.

But most importantly it will not take away your pleasure of better food, such as pizza, which after three months only eating pizza, you will be tired of it for the rest of you life

Interesting do you just sub buckwheat flour? Iโ€™ve had Ethiopian injera, which is like a sourdough Teff crรจpe.

A good taco. Actually, I think the enchilada guy was right. What he said.

We could have a crazy good potluck and needy people meal drive with all the options people are listing.

A nice salad with dressing and some added things like feta cheese. It tastes good, I make it rarely because the salad package / salad head always spoils before I ate all of it, and it's one of the only foods that I like that wouldn't make me obese if it was a magically available at all times.

12

This is a good choice! Salads seem simple but to make it interesting involves a lot of prep. And too often you go to the fridge and the ingredients either wilted or froze, plus when you're done it's still just a salad even if it's a really good one. Being able to say, "I'd like a nice arugula with apples and maple toasted pecan bits, balsamic dressing" or maybe "How about miner's lettuce and baby red leaf, with sliced grapes, Monterey Jack, sourdough croutons and nasturtiums, and put a little toasted sesame oil in the dressing."

Turn a simple burger into a gourmet meal, and healthy too.

Corndog.

I just like the idea of being able to offer a warm corndog to anyone at anytime.

Monumentreply
lemmy.sdf.org

For some reason the idea of pulling a delicious smelling/looking corndog out of a pocket and handing it to a frazzled/sad random with a genuine โ€œHey, you donโ€™t have to rawdog life alone โ€” you can corndog it instead.โ€ is like, Jesus-tier miracle shitposting.

I was imagining a hip holster or possibly a bandolier to pull them out of, but, thank you. This is the greatest compliment I have ever received.

5
Monumentreply

You know, a holster is not an idea that occurred to me, but I sort of like the idea of just having like a magical holster of corn dogs.

Or like, an ankle holster. Imagine explaining that to airport security.
My personal favorite riff on the attached holder idea is one of those old school gas station change dispensers. You pull a little lever and a corn dog pops up out of one of the tubes like a spring-loaded snake. (Would have to be appropriately sized.) Maybe other tubes have condiments?

3

I used to go to the fair and have fresh dipped corn dogs, so good!

4

Assuming cooked includes "prepared": sushi boat with a variety of rolls!

Plenty to eat, good protein, and it's something I can't prepare for myself. Also assuming magic, won't contribute to ocean decline.

Can it constantly be just like slightly warm just out of the oven? If so then some kind of bread. Milk bread, sourdough, brioche, etc. I love a good shockingly fresh bread but making bread is such a chore

Boiled little cubes of zucchini. No spice, no salt, nothing. It's for my cat, I have to do this all year round and it's annoying.

9

Pizza. Appropriate at any time, can survive off it's varieties and makes you ALWAYS the one invited to parties.

8

Does it have to be cooked? Some sort of really good salad with a hundred ingredients. I can cook stuff all day but prepping a really good salad is a hassle.

Antipasto or charcuterie with grilled veg, crostini or other bread, cheese and maybe some meat (salami or such) -- but particularly grilled asparagus. Something like this:

I just want to piggyback on this comment to say, this is the way to live. It's also an ideal way to dodge food sensitives if that's your situation. Since we're dealing with whole-foods here, and nothing has been souped, stewed, or combined in any way, everyone at the table can have something.

4

I'd love to do it nearly-daily, but it is expensive and I typically don't have most the ingredients on-hand. Right now I have a huge amount of watermelon and a bit of salami, but no suitable cheese or veg., and it takes so much time and planning to get everything together it just doesn't happen except for large gatherings.

3

A nice crusty loaf of bread.

Fresh bread is so good, doesn't stay good that long, and has a very long lead time.

7

Chicken wings. I love a good steak, but I also enjoy cooking my own. Really good chicken wings are a pain to make. It's a no brainer, especially if I can choose the sauce for each wing.

6

Some form of vegetarian chili.

Delicious, desireable in all seasons, relatively healthy.

I wonder if the people asking for fast-food type of stuff just want to die.

Chicken tortellini soup. Everyone in the house likes it so everyone could just have a nice bowl whenever!

I want to say a steak, but if I had an infinite supply of perfect steak available to me, I would probably die of a heart attack in about a year.

So instead I'll say crispy, corn-starch-battered stir fried marinated tofu. Tastes very good, and I usually fail to plan ahead for marinating it, plus the corn starch can sometimes make a mess, so having it magically made for me would be nice.

5

Two slices of cottage bread, lightly buttered on the inside with quality unsalted butter, two pieces of deli style American cheese (specifically the stuff from our local butcher but similar to Kraft Deli Select) evenly distributed in the middle.

Delicious cheese sandwich!

5

Dรถner. I got addicted to one store's dรถner while I was in Berlin and I've been craving it ever since, and I've been unable to find an equivalent here.

5

Freshly made, slightly warm hummus, with veggies and taboon-style pita bread.

It would be lovely to have something like steak or chicken or a tasty cheesy dish, but I would just wind up in an early grave I went with that.

I'm going to agree with bread. I do make bread but if it could just stay first day fresh (or second day fresh for sourdough rye) from first slice to last, that would be great.

4

There are some fresh baked breads that I enjoy a few days after baking (basically sourdoughs) that are reheated to get warm and crispy again. But I agree. If I could have perfectly timed baked breads I would be so happy.

3

2.5 doz freshly boiled dense Maryland blue crabs, caked in OBS.

4

Sliced BBQ Porkbelly in tonkotsu broth with ramen noodles, soft-medium boiled egg, green onion, bok choy, shredded carrots, corn, and enoki mushrooms served with a bottle of chilled, sweet, filtered sake.

4

Burnt Ends with BBQ sauce. Now, I probably wouldn't eat everyday cause my heart probably won't be able to take it but if I'm feeling the need for meat then meat will be back on the menu, boys.

4

The off-brand KFC run by people who barely speak English. Sometimes it's food poisoning but usually its the best chicken I've ever tasted.

3

Dozen raw oysters.

12oz aged Sirloin, very rare(not blue), with truffle butter topping.

Sides: garlic heavy creamed spinach, lobster Parmesan risotto, and lightly crisp grilled Brussels sprouts.

Large bottle of Riesling.

Rotating choices of dessert.

4

If this dream would happen to me i would ask the genie questions on specifics and try to get something that is always edible, tasty enough to me, even when im feeling powerless or that i can also share it with vegans and allergic people (i did know a guy who was allergic to cucumbers, i cant cater to them all)

At the end it could be that i ask for (very soft and nice) water
