American workers are tired of waiting.

Nations are made of people, that make local gov, that make state govs. We need to change the smallest part that makes up the rest of the machine before you can "fix" the 2 party system.

Everyone keeps taking about the DNC like it is some colossus. We can either change it to our liking or make our own, but either way it starts by changing the smallest parts first.

When life imitates art

Just to clarify, the leader is a "white savior" from that empire who's dad died. Not one of the indigenous people. He was only able to take power because of the CIA/Benegesserit planting religious propaganda about said white savior.

So this isn't quite accurate but close enough?

ELI5 Why are most Americans news outlets keep saying we are flying to the moon? When in all actuality we are flying around it?

Reply in thread

Do you understand how far orbits are in general? We have satellites in orbit around earth at varying distances based on what service those satellites provide. Some of those orbits are 22,000 mi above earth, which is a super popular orbit distance.

I would still consider these things as part of earth because it's a physical feature of earth. Same with the moon. In astronomical terms, getting within several thousand miles of a thing, is entering the physical space of that thing.

I'd compare it more to going to the 820 loop around Fort Worth. You're not in Fort Worth, but if you lived in New Mexico and we're going to a small town outside Fort Worth, you might still tell people that you're headed to Fort Worth.

Shitlib magical wand nonsense 🙄

Reply in thread

Gotta stop with the 40% nonsense. It's misleading. Americans are BAD AT VOTING. 40% of voters in 2024 support Trump. Not 40% of Americans. If I take wikipedias lower end estimate of 342mil people, and divide Trumps number of votes by that, I get 22.6%.

Still super shitty, but not 40.

I bought my first table saw

If you're cutting really dense or thick boards, like you said melamine, then you'll want to find a way to "attach" the saw legs to the floor. That style of table saw WILL move when you are pushing baords through it.

Stay safe brother, have fun rippin!

I actually prefer the circular saw + jig combo for heavier/denser boards.

8 Congressional Democrats Vote To Defund Schools That Support Trans People

Reply in thread

Copy from another reply of mine: This is a shit take. ALL Rs voted for this. No dems NEEDED to vote for this for it to pass, but some did. If we want to make the Dem party an acutal progressive party, then these Nazi pieces of shit need to be primaried. This doesn't make all Dems nazis...

It's a shit system but you aren't going to change it by 1) not voting and 2) generalizing.

Vote. For individuals. Not because they are Dem, but because you've dug into a candidate and found them to match your beliefs.

Fix your attitude, or the progressives will never make it.
