We watched it live in elementary school, most of the kids didn't get what had happened right away. Our teacher was just standing there stunned until an announcement came on the intercom asking all the teachers to turn it off. They didn't say anything to us, just tried to pretend like we didn't just watch people blow up live.

We've had this thing hammering our servers. The scraper uses randomized user-agents browser/OS combinations and comes from a number of distinct IP ranges in different datacenters around the world, but all the IPs track back to Bytedance.

Torrents hadn't really taken off in 2002, it was more Kazaa and eDonkey2000 from my recollection.

Congrats, you're already a much better screen writer than anyone at Marvel.

Sadly all the branches have one at the schools. I made the mistake of taking the ASVAB test in high school to get out of class, scored well and was hounded by all of these guys. The marine recruiter showed up at my house carrying a CRT TV/VHS combo to try and convince me to join lol

Screw you Google. Enjoy your antitrust.

I am almost certain that steam keys are actually free to developers, which is the whole reason for the policy.

I'm glad you mentioned the company directly as I also want to steer clear of companies like this.

I knew someone in school that had a CD-i and I was excited to try out the Zelda game... I made a terrible mistake as did the people that made it. It's probably still a cool collector's item, but man it was bad.

I feel like this error message was targeted at a very specific, very annoying user that can't be ignored.

So, what happens when someone that doesn't have social media accounts applies for a visa? I assume they just won't believe such a thing and deny the visa since you can't prove a negative. Would it make sense for such people to make a social media account and just not use it? This is ridiculous.

Clearly an AI photo, and at first I thought "Well, of course only AI would be dumb enough to do this.", but then I remembered I grew up in Florida and realized civilization was a mistake.

I only go to Whole Foods for a few specific stuff items that I can't get elsewhere due to food allergies. There is no way they are the cheapest place to get groceries.

Yes, you appear to have shitty people around you, and sadly it is very common for men to deal with this after a divorce. Keep talking to a counselor, dude.

Save scumming.

Presumably a woman, we can't tell from this angle. It could be a Death Eater for all we know.

Once Fedex lost a gait trainer to help my disabled daughter learn to walk. They then fought me for 6 months to stonewall me on getting reimbursed. When I was finally going to get my money back (it was quite expensive), it shows up at my house broken and now my daughter was too big for it anyway. I did find a local therapy center that said they could use some of for parts for their other trainers at least, but I was out nearly a month's pay. Fuck Fedex forever.

So don't buy Civ 7, got it. Thanks!

TIL about the artificial sweetener thing, this explains a lot. I have never been able to understand people enjoying diet soda.
