why isn't anyone calling for Trump to drop out.
Republican candidates aren't held to the same standards because Republican voters don't care (or they actually like it).

Texas Granny thinks Christians are being laughed at
The most unrealistic part of this is a conservative christian actually reading the bible. Unless he is just using it as a prop which is on form with these types.

'Can't believe my eyes': Florida 'hotbed of Trump support' erupts with Harris enthusiasm
Reply in thread
This makes for a good headline but it should not stop you from voting.
Nothing should stop you voting. Even if Harris is predicted to have a 30 point margin, you should push for a 40 point margin. Because even if she wins, the fewer Republicans in office, the more policies the Democrats can implement.

The lazy, entitled millennials trope just doesn’t hold up. Whoopi in hot water again...
“Every generation is told, ‘You’re gonna do worse than your parents,’
What? The historical expectation is that every generation will be better off than the last. That hasn't held in recent years, which is a problem.

The main benefit to lossless is for archival purposes. I can transcode to any format (such as on mobile) without generational quality loss.
And it means if a better lossy format comes out in the future, I can use that without issue.

J.D. Vance's former trans friend speaks out about how he turned hateful
He articulated a feeling that had until then remained unformed: that I was obsessed with achievement in se — not as an end to something meaningful, but to win a social competition.
Vance seems to be a vapid social climber with no real principles of his own. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than an outright true believer.

If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.

Drop your most "wtf that's not how the world works" from movies/tv shows.
In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes that same rib twice in succession yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we, to believe that this is some sort of a, a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

If I live in a red state, would it be better to vote for rfk to take votes away from trump?
No, that's not how it works. It would be the same as not voting at all, since RFK has no chance of winning.
Vote for Biden if you want to stop Trump.

NSW farmer fined record $1m for wiping out critical koala habitat for private airstrip larger than Sydney airport
Frankly, there should be jail time for this level of environmental vandalism. Especially since the defendants haven't shown even the slightest bit of remorse:
A judgment published on Friday said the prosecutor had noted there was “no evidence of insight, contrition, or remorse from the defendants and the defendants concede that there is no evidence of remorse.”

It’s absurd that people think trump has any sort of “business acumen.”
He played a successful businessman on a reality TV show. That's it, that's why people think he knows what he's doing, because they evidently can't tell the difference between fiction and reality.

It's the whole neoliberal "sell everything not nailed down" approach to government infrastructure that was taken right across the Western world, even from ostensibly left-wing parties. Turns out you can get some cheap money from selling things off and get to brag about a surplus. Who cares that you eventually run out of things to sell and are left with expensive infrastructure and services that only private companies can profit from, that's a future government's problem!
