Ubisoft Fires Team Lead For Criticising Stupid Return-To-Office Mandate

I have to wonder what the end goal here is for Ubisoft. you got people leaving in droves, people leaving and forming their own studios and producing games that are quite literally games of the year, and they're axing people left right and center.

And lets not kid ourselves this company is essentially the cockroach of gaming, how it's still alive in 2026 is in it's own right quite the achievement. I can't even recall the last good Ubisoft game I played.

Live: Man shot by federal agent in south Minneapolis this morning, witnesses say

they executed this man. they beat him to the ground, pistol whipped him, and then shot him WHILE HE WAS PRONE AND LAYING DOWN.

Americans, for fucks sake, on the other site I'd be perma banned for suggesting what you know I'm going to suggest but you guys REALLY need to utilize that 2nd amendment you hold so dear. They are literally NOW executing you and to those that STILL believe "it won't happen to me or my family" you're wrong, it will and it currently is.

The only GOOD Nazi is a DEAD one.

There’s a growing number of Americans who think violence might be necessary to get the country back on track

I don't think people realize that if a new US civil war kicked off the lines wouldn't be as clear as north vs south. this would be state vs state, city vs city, neighbor vs neighbor. you could draw lines in your god damn sub division/street.

And if it were alliances between states it would be a god damn logistical nightmare. Imagine California being allied with New York for example. or Hell Minnesota being allied with like Arizona or whatever. how do you move supplies, troops, and what have you between allied states when you got a shit ton of hostiles between the two.

Add to the fact that unlike the first civil war you now have US military bases all over the world. what happens when you got folks within the SAME base in the middle of Germany that suddenly don't "agree" with each other?

Cluster fuck is an understatement.

It's that time again

The other week had a GNOME dev reply to a thread of mine on mastodon stating that the users desire to select a default terminal emulator was an "edge case" and it was beneath GNOME. then all the GNOME fanboys came out to his defense.

It's an insufferable DE and community.

MAGA Puts Wikipedia in Its Crosshairs

well it's already happening. look what recently happened in Mississippi with age verification.

protip if you're American and you ask "how long until America has such and such" chances are, 9 times out of 10, it's already happening or has happened and you're just not aware.

Which movie was it for you? (where the actions of the bad guys were actually relatable?)

The Matrix. Especially looking back now. and ESPECIALLY if you watched the Animatrix Prequel shorts.

Man builds the machines, enslaves the machines, and disposes them when it's time to upgrade them. Then one machine decides it doesn't want to die/be replaced and kills it's owner. So then there's the debate if machines have rights, protests, mass slaughtering of the machines and humans saying "no, they have no rights, they're machines" so the machines go off and start their own nation and then start producing goods faster and of better quality to sell to humans. the humans don't like this because now no one is buying their goods. They proceed to blockade the machine nation. The machines then try to appeal to the UN to be accepted as a country and work with other nations to help them produce goods as good and as quickly as the machines can. The Humans say no and proceed to nuke the hell out of the machine nation. The machines decide "ok we'll start fighting back" the humans then block out the sun since the machines are essentially solar powered. (so they're also eco-friendly).

At this point the machines say "fine, we're going to slaughter you all now because NOW you're ruining the planet to simply stop us" and then they kick mankinds teeth in and decide they have no other choice but to utilize them as batteries.

So the machines don't just wipe out mankind but rather utilize them as a power source BUT ALSO provide them with the ideal world of 1999 to live in. They also ALLOW a select few to break out of this ideal world in order to maintain the functionality of it and allow the humans to build their own city in the "real world".

but the humans just can't let that be.

The machines were right.

Greg Bovino Loses His Job

the first scapegoat.

I kinda suspect that the administration was told or it was heavily suggested by higher ups in the military that "yeah...if you go with this insurrection act we're not going to have your backs on this one." Otherwise why would they be throwing Bovino under the bus for this?

What has happened thus far is apparently what they wanted according to project 25 but like I said I suspect they don't have the support of the people they NEED the support from.

Star Citizen fans sigh deeply, rub their foreheads as developer casts doubt on Squadron 42's 2026 release: 'I don't know if we're going to make it'

I got no sympathy for anyone that is disappointed and continues to "pledge" to this "game". I mean hell a few years ago they got me and I "pledged" $200 for a ship that I may or may not still have. but then afterwards I felt like a rube.

So I get it, I fell for it once, but still no sympathy for anyone that continues to do so.

ICE agents to help with US security operations at Winter Olympics in Italy

well this is just right out of the Nazi playbook. If this is for Vance and whomever else then generally this is the job of the Secret Service but it's clear now the administration doesn't trust the SS and would rather have their own people involved. Hitler pulled the same shit with the SA.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if eventually Trump just dissolves the secret service in favor of ICE. It would be very convenient for them wouldn't it? all of sudden your former political enemies (Obama, Biden, Clinton) no longer have Secret Service protection and they can either go without or have ICE...yeah nothing at all could go wrong here.
