Trump Roasted For Making Up A Law 'Out Of Thin Air' About Classified Documents
My gramps used to tell lots of whoppers, like Trump. He was obsessed and over time he honed his whoppership to a fine art, where you could barely tell if he was rolling you a whopper or telling the truth. And that's the line of distinction right there. Trump never learned to be believable to anyone with half a brain.

"Why, back in the old days," the priest said, "we could just drown them by hand, but during covid we had to resort to guns. Good times."

YSK: Signal is a great secure private messenger app comparable to others on the market.
I use signal on my phone and laptop but a while back they stopped supporting tablet versions. Wish they would bring that back.

This is the "food" a 3k per month nursing home serves its residents
We kept our mom out of a nursing home specifically for the food and staffing and overpriced everything reasons. When we looked them all over, even the $5000 a month place had residents calling out for help endlessly, with just two nurses aides working over 100 residents. So sad. Profit over care, from insurance to nursing home.

Why do most gaming laptops have vents on the bottom?
'Tis why I have a 6-fan laptop pad between the laptop and my legs. Keeps my legs from burning, allows heat evac too.

Substance found in White House confirmed to be cocaine
And of course Tom Cotton immediately climbs down into the Fox cesspool to complain that White House security needs to be thoroughly investigated. Sure, let's do more useless investigations rather than actually getting anything useful done.

Asteroid City (2023)
I am, but I also want to find out if the three black-and-white people in the group shot of the movie poster is significant, like an Easter egg, callback or reference forward, or just a production error. Or did they run out of modern actors and had to dip back into the '50s to hire some monotone help.

This, unfortunately, is all too true. We live in a nightmare that should have ended long ago.

Are there any Reddit refugees spending more time on Lemmy than Reddit?
Killed all four of my accounts (cleaned all posts first) when they doubled down and it became apparent they were not going to budge no matter what, and insulted both mods and the community too.
Even if they do relinquish now, I'm sticking with Lemmy; if Reddit owners can treat us this badly now, what's to prevent it from happening again in the future, whether it's by the ham-fisted machinations of the past week, or by a "secret incremental changes we hope you won't notice" plan.
