[OC] My dad collects watches, so I'm making him a giant one for fathers day.
How do we really know that's a giant watch, and OP didn't just get a bunch of miniature tools to trick us!

Shutdown 315
Everyone bickering in this thread needs to just repost this image somewhere and shut up. That's how these things spread, via small communities. The only reason I saw it was this post, the only reason someone else might learn about it is my post. Unless you already have a better idea, and are organizing and trying to promote it, the least you can do is try and spread the word. The only way we win is together, so either bring a better solution to the table or get in line and help us fight.

Everything I need is still in in the old settings windows that haven't changed in 23 years
Reply in thread
I agree.
We're both going to get downvoted but the settings app has a much better UI than control panel full stop. The problem is the years of development that have gone into it only for the settings app to redirect to the control panel anyway for 50% of the things you want to do because they still haven't been bothered to actually integrate everything directly into the app.
If you could actually do everything in the settings app that you could do in the control panel after 3 versions of windows I don't think it would be so universally disliked.

You either really missed the point of the post, or are real bad at being funny. Least nuanced takes on the platform

Am I the only person who sees this and thinks everything about it screams AI generated? Even if it proves a point we agree with why is everyone so quick to assume this is real?

Dividing us once again. The only thing that matters is that the wealthy elite won. Anyone who isn't them lost, and we should all be fighting together.

No, I think that's literally the point of the post. Insult the character, not the body. It dilutes your point

Finding out how much your boss cares
Reply in thread
Using an LLM is less of an issue than how it was used. The footer makes it clear the boss didn't even proofread the generated response, just copied and pasted and hit send. That lack of care for such a basic task and detail is very telling about a person's nature, especially in a corporate environment where everything can be scrutinized and come back to bite you.

Your AI Girlfriend Is a Data-Harvesting Horror Show
Reply in thread
It's even more insidious because these apps ask for the data upfront under the guise of "getting to know you better"
How can your AI girlfriend truly love you back unless you give it your real name, age, photos of your face, mother's maiden name, social security number, and genetic material? /s
