What do you secretly judge people for?
If you cannot chew with your mouth closed and you are older than 6 years, you should not be allowed to vote, operate heavy machinery or have children.

I find it inconceivable that no one has mentioned 'The Princess Bride' yet.

The "average adults" in my bubble all complain about not being able to game, but somehow know all about the popular TV shows of the moment. And of course Formula 1 and the many football leagues (world football that is, not 'American' hand-egg).
It's all a matter of priorities.
Also, as my kids are a bit older now, we sometimes game together. My son loves coop Portal and my daughter enjoys it when I play Valheim. She loves watching me explore the game world.

Hated by who?
As a person, he is absolutely vile and disgusting. For one thing, he raped children and recently killed ~160 school girls. He combines the crookedness of Nixon, the dementia of Reagan, the genius of W and the child molesting of Clinton into one person.
From the perspective of a citizen of a EU country that has blindly followed the US for several decades, I'd like to add one more thing. He is the first president who put a dent in the alliance between the US and Europe and who is really not our friend. He threatened Denmark and Greenland, puts random tariffs on EU products out of spite and worst of all, he appears to be a tool of Vladimir Putin, who has invaded a EU member.
I do not think that 'hate' covers what I feel about this absolute piece of human garbage, but he is definitely one of the worst persons currently alive.

What's a really popular TV show you just couldn't get into?
Friends.
Shallow, punchable people who made being dumb fucks a virtue.

What's an uplifting fact that might counter the doom of our current reality?
Here's one I like: despite the efforts of Big Oil and their orange-painted lackey, the amount of renewable energy generated in the first half of 2025 has surpassed energy generated by fossil means.

What Movie Soundtrack is BETTER than the movie?
Spawn. The movie was laughably bad and I have banned it from my memory. However, the soundtrack is a collection of collaboration between metal bands and electronic artists and is really awesome.

What subscription services do you actually pay for and get value from?
Bring in the downvotes, but Spotify. I listen to music several hours a day, both old and new and it helps me discover lots of new music and even genres. For me personally, that's worth the money.

Do you have trouble explaining your job to people?
I recently told a seven year old that I am a wizard. I already have the beard and being a programmer, that is exactly what my customers feel about my work.

What are your jokes for younger children?
One joke that both my kids loved at that age goes as follows:
There's this farmer who sits with his dog on a horse-drawn cart. Suddenly, the horse turns its head and says "Beautiful weather, boss!". Obviously, the farmer is stunned. Then the dog nudges him and says: "Huh that's funny. That horse just talked.".

Why people consistently vote against their own interests to benefit the rich?
One reason I have not read yet: scapegoating. In my country, back in the early 2000s it was the "terrorists" who made it possible to enforce a few unpopular and unconstitutional policies. Nowadays, it is the "immigrants" who take our jobs (we have a job shortage), housing (which was sold off to investors) and health care (which was sold off to investors). Point to a group that cannot defend itself and people will vote in your favor.

What HATED or highly disliked movie you ACTUALLY really enjoyed?
The mid-2000s A-Team movie comes to mind. It was terrible. The casting was off and there was no real plot to speak of. However, it was so much over the top that it turned pretty funny actually. I probably won't be watching it a second time though.

What's a genre of music you're waiting to have a resurgence?
Punk, or rather, any genre that will allow younger generations to express any political views. Yes we have Bob Vylan, but this type of bands should be more mainstream (either that or I have lost touch, which I will not deny).

VW to cut 50,000 jobs amid Trump tariffs and falling Chinese sales
IMHO, VW has no right to exist anymore and the CEOs should be held personally accountable for the loss of 50000 jobs. They failed to innovate while demanding huge subsidies from the EU. They cheated in order to make their diesels look more economical. They are expensive and poor quality for the price you pay in the EU.
Fuck them.
